2. Initial Pairing and Atomic Clock Synchronization

The main unit will automatically attempt to connect with the remote sensors and synchronize with the atomic clock signal upon battery installation.

• Place the main unit and all remote sensors close to each other during initial setup (within 1 meter/3 feet).
• The main unit will search for signals from the remote sensors. This may take a few minutes. Once connected, the sensor readings will appear on the display.
• The main unit will also begin searching for the NIST atomic clock signal. A signal strength indicator will appear on the display. For best reception, place the unit near a window, away from electronic interference. This process can take several hours, especially during initial setup.

• Place sensors in shaded areas, away from direct sunlight or heat sources, which can skew temperature readings.

• Position sensors within the wireless range of the main unit (typically up to 100 feet/30 meters, line of sight). Walls and obstacles will reduce this range.
• Avoid placing sensors near large metal objects or strong electromagnetic fields.
