2. Instruccions de seguretat importants

- If the appliance falls into the water, DO NOT reach for it. First, unplug it and then retrieve it. If electrical components get wet, unplug the appliance immediately.

A “drip loop” should be arranged by the user for each cord connecting an aquarium appliance to a receptacle. The “drip loop” is the part of the cord below the level of the receptacle, or the connector if an extension cord is used, to prevent water from traveling along the cord and coming into contact with the receptacle. If the plug or receptacle does get wet, DO NOT unplug the cord. Disconnect the fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power to the appliance. Then, unplug and examine for presence of water in the receptacle.

4. Instal·lació i configuració
Follow these steps to properly install your Tetra Whisper IQ Power Filter:
- Muntar el tub d'admissió: Connect the adjustable intake tube sections and attach the intake strainer to the bottom.
- Install Motor: Secure the motor assembly into the designated slot at the bottom of the filter housing. Ensure it is firmly seated.
- Insert Bio-Scrubber: Place the blue bio-scrubber grid into the filter housing. This provides surface area for beneficial bacteria.
- Insert Filter Cartridge: Slide a new Tetra Whisper Bio-Bag Filter Cartridge (Large size) into the filter housing. Ensure the blue clip is facing upwards and securely positioned.
- Attach Sound Shield: Position the sound shield between the motor and the filter body to minimize operational noise.

5. Instruccions de funcionament
Once installed and plugged in, the Tetra Whisper IQ Power Filter is designed for self-priming. The submerged motor will start automatically, drawing water into the filter.

6. Manteniment
Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal filter performance and a healthy aquarium environment.
6.1 Filter Cartridge Replacement
- Replace the Tetra Whisper Bio-Bag Filter Cartridge monthly, or sooner if water flow is significantly reduced or the cartridge appears heavily soiled.
- Always use large-sized Tetra Whisper Bio-Bag Filter Cartridges (blue packaging) for this 45-gallon model.
- To replace: Unplug the filter. Remove the old cartridge and discard it. Rinse the new cartridge briefly under tap water to remove any carbon dust, then insert it into the filter housing. Re-plug the filter.

6.2 Neteja del filtre
