1. Introducció

The Clear-Com RS-703 is a robust two-channel analog beltpack designed for professional intercom communication. It features an XLR-3 line connector and an XLR-4M headset connector, providing versatile connectivity. Engineered with a high-dynamic-range mic preamp, the RS-703 ensures clear and intelligible voice communication across various volume levels, from quiet whispers to loud shouts. 3. Configuració i connexions

1. Connect to Main Station: Use a standard XLR-3 cable to connect the INTERCOM port on the RS-703 beltpack to a Clear-Com TWC-701 interface, which then connects to your main intercom station. Ensure the cable is securely latched.
2. Connecta els auriculars: Plug your XLR-4M compatible headset into the HEADSET port on the beltpack. Ensure a firm connection.
3. Program Input (Optional): If program audio is required, connect an audio source to the 3.5mm TRS jack labeled PGM. Adjust the program input level using the adjacent thumbwheel control.
4. Encès: Once all connections are made, the beltpack will receive power from the intercom line. The green Power LED on the top panel will illuminate.

4.1 Comunicació bàsica

• Talk Buttons (TALK A / TALK B): Press and hold the respective "TALK A" or "TALK B" button to speak on Channel A or Channel B. Release the button to stop speaking.
• Latching Talk: If configured via DIP switches, a quick press and release of the "TALK" button will latch the talk function on. Press again to unlatch. The green Talk Latch LED will indicate when talk is latched.
• Call Buttons (CALL A / CALL B): Press the "CALL A" or "CALL B" button to send a call signal to other users on the respective channel. The amber Call Signal LED will illuminate.
• Control de volum (VOL): Use the recessed rotary controls next to each talk button to adjust the listening volume for Channel A and Channel B independently.

4.2 Advanced Configuration (DIP Switches)

The RS-703 features concealed DIP switches on the bottom panel for advanced customization. These settings should only be adjusted by qualified personnel.

To access the DIP switches, carefully remove the cover on the bottom of the unit. Refer to the diagram printed on the unit or the detailed technical manual for specific switch functions. Common settings include:

• Latch Talk: Enables or disables the latching function for the talk buttons.
• Talk with Call: Configures whether pressing the talk button also sends a call signal.
• LEDs Off: Disables the LED indicators for discreet operation.

• Emmagatzematge: When not in use, store the beltpack in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
