4. Configuració

4.2 Preparing the Tubing

1. Cut Tubing: Use the included Mastercool 70027 Mini Tube Cutter to make a clean, square cut on the tubing. Ensure the cut is free of burrs.
2. Desbarbar: Carefully deburr the inside and outside edges of the tubing to prevent cracks during flaring and ensure a smooth flow path.

5.1 General Flaring Procedure

5. Initiate Flaring: Align the hydraulic ram with the die set. Slowly pump the hydraulic handle to advance the flaring cone into the tubing. Continue pumping until the flare is fully formed. The hydraulic system will provide a clear indication when the flare is complete (e.g., increased resistance or a stop).

5.3 Consideracions importants

• Do not over-tighten the T-handle, but ensure the tubing is held firmly to prevent slippage.
• This tool is designed for brake, fuel, and transmission lines. It is not compatible with coolant hoses or rubber hose connections.
