The SilverStone ES02-PCIE is a convenient remote switch kit designed to wirelessly turn on/off and reset a computer. Configuració i instal·lació

Follow these steps to install the SilverStone ES02-PCIE kit into your computer system.

1. Prepareu el vostre sistema:

   Before beginning, ensure your computer is completely powered off and unplugged from the wall outlet. Open your computer case to access the motherboard.

2. Install the PCIe Receiver Card:

   Locate an available PCI Express x1 slot on your motherboard. Carefully insert the ES02-PCIE card into the slot until it is firmly seated. Secure the card with a screw to the case chassis.

3. Connect to Motherboard Headers:

   Identify the Power Switch (PWR_SW) and Reset Switch (RESET_SW) pin headers on your motherboard. Refer to your motherboard's manual for the exact location and pinout. The ES02-PCIE includes a Y-cable. Disconnect your case's existing power and reset cables from the motherboard headers. Connect the ES02-PCIE's Y-cable to these motherboard headers. Then, connect your case's original power and reset cables to the corresponding connectors on the ES02-PCIE Y-cable. Ensure the polarity (positive/negative) is correct; typically, the triangle symbol on the connector indicates the positive pin.

   Nota: Your motherboard must have the "Resume by PCI-E Device" function enabled in the BIOS/UEFI settings for the remote power-on feature to work correctly. Consult your motherboard manual for instructions on enabling this feature.

   Once all connections are secure, close your computer case. Reconnect the power cable to your computer and turn on the power supply.

The ES02-PCIE remote control provides simple functionality for powering on/off and resetting your computer.

• Encès:

  Premeu el botó Botó d'encesa (labeled with a power symbol) on the remote control to turn on your computer. The integrated PC speaker on the receiver card will provide auditory feedback (a beep) when the signal is received.

• Apagar:

  While the computer is running, press and hold the Botó d'encesa (labeled with a power symbol) on the remote control for approximately 3-5 seconds to initiate a forced shutdown. A short press will typically send a soft shutdown signal, allowing the OS to shut down gracefully.

• Restablir:

  Premeu el botó Botó de restabliment (labeled with a circular arrow symbol) on the remote control to restart your computer. This functions identically to pressing the physical reset button on your computer case.
• Interval de funcionament:

  The remote operates using 2.4GHz RF wireless technology, providing a range of up to 20 meters (approximately 65 feet) in open environments. Obstructions like walls may reduce this range.

Substitució de la bateria del comandament a distància

The remote control requires a CR2032 battery for operation. If the remote's indicator light does not illuminate or the computer does not respond to commands, the battery may need replacement.

1. Localitzeu el compartiment de la bateria:

   The battery compartment is located on the back of the remote control, secured by a small screw.

2. Remove Screw:

   Use the included small screwdriver (or a compatible precision screwdriver) to carefully remove the screw securing the battery cover.

   Remove the old CR2032 battery and insert a new one, ensuring the positive (+) side faces upwards.

Resolució de problemes

• Computer does not power on/off or reset via remote:
  • Ensure the ES02-PCIE card is properly seated in the PCIe x1 slot.
  • Verify that the power and reset cables from the ES02-PCIE are correctly connected to the motherboard headers and that the case's original cables are connected to the ES02-PCIE Y-cable. Check polarity.
  • Confirm that the CR2032 battery in the remote control is fresh and correctly installed.
  • Check your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI settings to ensure "Resume by PCI-E Device" or a similar power-on-by-PCIe setting is enabled.
  • Ensure you are within the 20-meter operating range and there are no significant obstructions.
• No auditory feedback from the receiver card:
  • The integrated PC speaker on the receiver card can be disabled via a jumper. Refer to the original product manual (if available) for jumper settings. Ensure the jumper is not set to disable the speaker if you desire auditory feedback.
  • Verify the card is receiving power from the PCIe slot.
• Remote battery drains quickly:
