The APC Smart-UPS SMT1000C is a 1000VA / 700W Pure Sine Wave Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) designed to provide reliable battery backup and surge protection for your critical electronic equipment. 3. Configuració i instal·lació
3.1 Col·locació física
Place the UPS unit in a location that is clean, dry, and away from direct sunlight. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. The unit is designed for tower configuration.

3.2 Connexió de la bateria
The UPS unit comes with batteries included. Refer to the SmartConnect Installation Guide for specific instructions on connecting the internal batteries if they are not pre-connected.
3.3 Connexió d'alimentació
Connect the UPS to a grounded NEMA 5-15R wall outlet using the provided power cord. Do not connect the UPS to a surge protector or power strip.
The UPS features (8) NEMA 5-15R output receptacles for connecting your equipment. One switchable outlet group is available for controlled power management.

3.4 SmartConnect Setup
The APC SmartConnect feature allows for remote monitoring and management of your UPS. To set up SmartConnect:
- Connect the UPS to your network using the dedicated Ethernet port on the rear panel (refer to Figure 4).
- Scan the QR code located on the UPS unit or in the SmartConnect Installation Guide using a smartphone or tablet. This will automatically register your device with the SmartConnect web portal.
- Create an account on the SmartConnect web portal if you don't already have one.
- Complete the registration process for your UPS within the portal.
Once registered, your Smart-UPS device will automatically connect with your account, allowing you to monitor its status remotely from any internet-connected device.
4. Funcionament del SAI

To power on the UPS, press the power button on the front panel. To power off, press and hold the power button until the unit shuts down.

5. Manteniment
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your APC Smart-UPS SMT1000C.
5.1 Gestió de la bateria
The UPS includes intelligent battery management with real-time monitoring and temperature-compensated charging to extend battery life. Batteries typically last for several years but will eventually require replacement. The SmartConnect portal will provide notifications regarding battery end-of-life.
When replacing batteries, use only APC-approved replacement battery cartridges to ensure compatibility and safety.
5.2 Neteja
