Instruccions de configuració
1. Assembling the Tripod and Mount
- Estendre les potes del trípode: Loosen the leg lock knobs on each tripod leg and extend them to your desired height. Tighten the knobs to secure the legs. Ensure the tripod is stable on a level surface.
- Attach Accessory Tray: Spread the tripod legs slightly and attach the accessory tray to the center brace. This tray provides stability and a place for your eyepieces.
- Mount the Telescope: The altazimuth mount is pre-attached to the tripod. Secure the optical tube to the mount using the provided screws or quick-release mechanism. Ensure it is firmly attached.

Imatge: Un primer pla view of the altazimuth mount and tripod, highlighting the sturdy adjustable aluminum tripod and the intuitive up/down and left/right motion of the mount.
2. Installing the Red-Dot Aiming Sight
- Locate the red-dot aiming sight and its mounting bracket.
- Slide the aiming sight onto the dovetail base located on the optical tube. Tighten the thumbscrew to secure it.
- Remove the battery tab (if present) and turn on the sight. A red dot will appear on the viewfinestra d’engegada.

Imatge: Una imatge detallada view of the Red-Dot Aiming Sight, which assists in quickly locating celestial objects.
3. Attaching the Diagonal and Eyepiece
- Insert the 90-degree mirror diagonal into the focuser drawtube. Secure it with the small thumbscrew on the focuser.
- Insert one of the eyepieces (e.g., the 25mm Kellner) into the diagonal. Secure it with the thumbscrew on the diagonal.
- To change magnification, simply swap eyepieces. For higher magnification, use the 10mm eyepiece or combine an eyepiece with the 2x Shorty Barlow lens.

Funcionament del telescopi
1. Aligning the Red-Dot Aiming Sight
Before observing, the red-dot sight must be aligned with the telescope's main optical tube:
- Point the telescope at a distant, stationary object (e.g., a streetlight or tree top) during daylight hours.
- Look through the telescope's eyepiece and center the object in the field of view.
- Without moving the telescope, look through the red-dot sight. Use the adjustment knobs on the sight to move the red dot until it is centered on the same object you see in the eyepiece.
- The red-dot sight is now aligned and can be used to quickly point the telescope at celestial objects.
2. Enfocament
Once an object is located, turn the focuser knobs slowly until the image in the eyepiece is sharp and clear. Fine adjustments may be needed as objects move across the sky or as temperature changes.
3. Observació d'objectes celestes
- Lluna: Start with the 25mm eyepiece for a wide view, then switch to the 10mm for more detail. The MoonMap 260 can help identify craters and features.
- Planetes: Planets like Jupiter and Saturn are best viewed with higher magnification (10mm eyepiece, possibly with the 2x Barlow). Look for Jupiter's moons and Saturn's rings.
- Star Clusters and Nebulae: Use the 25mm eyepiece for wider fields of view to observe larger star clusters and nebulae.
Use the included Star Target Planisphere to determine which constellations and objects are visible on any given night. The Orion Telescope Observer's Guide book provides information on over sixty interesting objects to explore.

Manteniment
- Neteja de lents: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Breathe lightly on the lens to fog it, then gently wipe. Avoid touching optical surfaces with fingers.
- Emmagatzematge: Store the telescope in a dry, dust-free environment. Keep dust caps on the optical tube and eyepieces when not in use.
- Tripod and Mount: Periodically check all screws and knobs for tightness. Lubricate moving parts of the mount if necessary with a small amount of silicone-based grease.
Resolució de problemes
| Problema | Causa possible | Solució |
|---|---|---|
| La imatge està borrosa o desenfocada. | Enfocador no ajustat correctament. | Adjust the focuser knobs slowly until the image is sharp. |
| Cannot find objects easily. | Red-dot aiming sight is not aligned. | Align the red-dot sight with the main telescope during daylight hours as described in the setup section. |
| La imatge apareix tènue. | Light pollution, high magnification, or atmospheric conditions. | Observe from a dark location. Use lower magnification eyepieces for brighter views. Wait for clearer atmospheric conditions. |
| Telescope shakes excessively. | Tripod not stable, or loose connections. | Ensure tripod legs are fully extended and locked. Tighten all mounting screws. Observe on a stable surface. |
