Introducció
This user manual provides comprehensive instructions for the APC 1500VA Smart UPS with SmartConnect, model SMC1500C. This uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is designed to protect your servers, switches, routers, and networking devices from power outages and harmful power conditions. It offers backup battery power, Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), and cloud-enabled monitoring via APC SmartConnect.
Key features include a 1500VA / 900W pure sine wave output, eight NEMA 5-15R outlets for battery backup and surge protection, and intelligent battery management for extended battery life. The integrated SmartConnect feature allows for remote monitoring, automatic notifications, and simplified firmware updates, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of your UPS.

Configuració
1. Unboxing i Inspecció
Carefully remove the UPS from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any shipping damage. Retain the packaging for future use or transport.

2. Connexió de la bateria
The internal battery is disconnected for shipment. Before initial use, you must connect the battery. Refer to the instructions provided on the unit or in the quick start guide for the specific steps to connect the internal battery.

3. Col·locació
Place the UPS in a location with adequate airflow, away from excessive heat, direct sunlight, and moisture. Ensure the unit is placed on a stable, flat surface. The dimensions of the unit are approximately 17.3 x 6.7 x 8.6 inches (43.9 cm x 17.0 cm x 21.8 cm).
4. Connecting to Power and Devices
Plug the UPS power cord (NEMA 5-15P) into a grounded 120V AC outlet. Connect your critical equipment (servers, networking devices, etc.) to the eight NEMA 5-15R output outlets on the rear of the UPS. Ensure that the total load does not exceed the UPS's capacity of 900W.
5. APC SmartConnect Setup
The APC SmartConnect feature allows for cloud-based remote monitoring of your UPS. To set up SmartConnect:
- Connect the UPS to your network using a dedicated Ethernet cable plugged into the "NETWORK" port on the rear panel.
- Locate the QR code on the UPS unit. Scan this QR code using a smartphone or tablet to automatically register your UPS with the SmartConnect web portal.

Un cop registrat, pots view UPS status, receive automatic notifications, and access support services from any internet-connected device. A 6-month free trial of the SmartConnect Standard plan is included for units purchased and/or registered after August 1, 2023.
