4.2 Passos d'instal·lació
Follow these steps to install the hitch tightener:
- Insert your hitch accessory (e.g., cargo carrier, bike rack) into the vehicle's hitch receiver.
- Drop the U-bolt around the hitch receiver and slide it to touch the face of the hitch.
- Push the tightener plate onto the U-bolt, ensuring the raised end of the plate faces away from the hitch.
- Place a spring washer, then a flat washer, and finally a nut onto each threaded end of the U-bolt. Hand tighten the nuts to hold the washers in place.
- Using a 3/4-inch open wrench or socket, tighten the nuts evenly until the metal plate is firmly secured against both the hitch accessory stinger and the vehicle's hitch receiver.
Nota important: If the hitch receiver is low to the ground, there may be a risk of the U-bolt scraping the ground. In such cases, install the tightener from the bottom of the hitch receiver to avoid interference.
