The Eltako DSZ15WDM-3x5A MID is an M-bus energy meter designed for precise measurement of active energy consumption. 2. Instruccions de seguretat
- Precaució: Before performing any work on current transformers or the meter, ensure that the voltage paths of the meter are completely disconnected and de-energized.
- Installation and maintenance should only be carried out by qualified electricians in accordance with national wiring regulations and safety standards.
- This energy meter is MID calibrated, indicating its suitability for billing purposes according to relevant regulations. However, specific compliance with local electricity laws (e.g., §25 or §19) should be verified by the installer.
- Do not open the device housing. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.

5. Instal·lació (Configuració)
The DSZ15WDM-3x5A MID is designed for easy installation on a standard DIN-EN 60715 TH35 rail. Ensure all safety precautions are followed before beginning installation.
5.1 Muntatge
- Mount the device securely on the DIN rail in a suitable electrical enclosure.
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the meter.
5.2 Cablejat
- The meter requires a neutral (N) connector to be present for proper operation.
- Connect the current transformers (CTs) to the meter's designated terminals. The meter can be used with 1, 2, or 3 current transformers, each with secondary currents up to 5 A.
- Important: Before connecting or disconnecting current transformers, always disconnect the voltage paths of the meter to prevent damage or injury.

6. Funcionament
Once installed and powered, the Eltako DSZ15WDM-3x5A MID will begin measuring energy consumption. The 7-segment LCD display shows various operational data.
6.1 Pantalla i indicadors
- Pantalla LCD: The display shows energy readings and other parameters. It can be read even without power for up to two weeks.
- LED d'alimentació: A dedicated LED indicator flashes 10 times for every kWh of energy consumed.
6.2 Navigation and Data Viewing
The 'Mode' and 'Select' buttons located on the right side of the display are used to navigate through the meter's menu and view different data points. The display backlight will turn off after a period of inactivity.
By pressing the buttons, you can cycle through and view:
- Energia total consumida.
- Resettable active energy (memory).
- Instantaneous power values.
- Voltage per external scale.
- Current per external scale.
7. Configuration: Current Transformer Ratio Adjustment
The current transformer (CT) ratio can be adjusted to match the installed current transformers. The meter is factory-set to a 5:5 ratio and secured with a jumper on the terminals marked 'Jumper'.
7.1 Procediment d'ajust
- Ensure the meter's voltage paths are disconnected before proceeding.
- Carefully remove the jumper from the 'Jumper' terminals.
- Using the 'Mode' and 'Select' buttons, navigate through the menu to adjust the converter ratio parameters to match your installed current transformers. Refer to the meter's display for guidance during this process.
- Once the desired ratio is set, re-secure the jumper on the 'Jumper' terminals.
- Reconnect the meter's voltage paths.

8. Solució De Problemes
8.1 Error Message: "False"
If the display shows the error message "False", it indicates one of the following conditions:
- Absence of an external current conductor.
- Incorrect direction of the external conductor.
Acció: Check the wiring of the current transformers and ensure that the external conductors are correctly connected and oriented. Verify that current is flowing through the conductors.
9. Manteniment
The Eltako DSZ15WDM-3x5A MID energy meter is designed for long-term, maintenance-free operation. No routine maintenance is required by the user.
