The PetSafe Healthy Pet Simply Feed Automatic Pet Feeder is designed to provide convenient and consistent meal delivery for your cat or dog. It allows you to schedule meals, control portion sizes, and offers features like a slow feed mode and a pet-proof design. The feeder is powered by an included power adapter and can also operate on D batteries for backup.

Configuració

Before first use, ensure all removable parts are clean and dry. Place the feeder in a suitable location near a power outlet. Insert the included power adapter into the feeder and plug it into a wall outlet. For battery backup, install 4 D-cell alkaline batteries (not included) in the battery compartment located at the bottom of the unit. This ensures continued operation during power outages.

To begin programming your feeder, you will need to set the current time and then configure your desired meal schedules. The feeder allows for up to 12 meals per day with customizable portion sizes.

Setting Time and Meals

Use the control panel buttons to navigate through the settings. First, set the current time (12-hour or 24-hour format). Then, program each meal by selecting the meal number, desired time, and portion size (from 1/8 cup to 4 cups). The feeder will automatically dispense food at the scheduled times.

For pets that tend to eat too quickly, activate the Slow Feed Mode. This feature dispenses meals larger than 1/8 cup slowly over a 15-minute period, helping to prevent digestive upset. To activate, press the left arrow button until the turtle icon appears on the display.

Alimentació manual

To dispense a meal immediately, press and hold the ENTER button for 5 seconds. This will dispense one meal according to the programmed portion size. This will not affect your set feeding schedule.

Bloqueig del botó

The feeder automatically locks the buttons after a few minutes of inactivity to prevent accidental changes or tampering by pets. A padlock icon will appear on the display. To unlock, press and hold the ENTER and UP arrow buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.

Regular cleaning of your feeder is essential for your pet's health and hygiene. Most parts of the feeder that come into contact with food are dishwasher safe (top rack only).
