5.3. Preparing the Lancing Device

3. Twist off the protective cap from the lancet.

6.1. Preparing for a Test

1. Renteu-vos bé les mans amb aigua tèbia i sabó. Assequeu-les completament.
2. Remove a test strip from its vial and immediately close the vial cap tightly.
3. Insert the test strip into the meter's test strip port. The meter will turn on automatically.

6.2. Performing a Blood Glucose Test

1. Once the meter displays the blood drop symbol, use the lancing device to obtain a blood sample from your fingertip.
2. Gently touch the tip of the test strip to the blood drop. The blood will be drawn into the strip.
3. The meter will begin a countdown. Your glucose result will appear on the display in approximately 5 seconds.
4. Record your result in the monitoring diary.
5. Eject the used test strip and lancet into a sharps container.

6.3. Performing a Ketone Test

The process for a ketone test is similar to a glucose test, but requires specific GlucoRx HCT Ketone Test Strips. Ensure you are using the correct strip type for the desired test.

1. Insert a GlucoRx HCT Ketone Test Strip into the meter.
