1. Introducció

The Extech UV505 is a compact, portable UV-AB light meter designed for measuring ultraviolet radiation from both natural and artificial light sources. This device is suitable for various applications including outdoor UV exposure assessment, medical testing, laboratory research, industrial quality control, educational purposes, electronics, and forensic investigations. It features a backlit display, a cosine-corrected sensor for accurate readings, two selectable measurement ranges, a zero adjustment function, data hold, and an automatic power-off feature to conserve battery life.

The Extech UV505 features a UV sensor at the top, a large LCD display in the center, and several control buttons below the display. The main power button is typically orange and centrally located. Other buttons include ZERO, UNIT, and a backlight button (often indicated by a light bulb icon) and a HOLD button (indicated by 'H'). The battery compartment is located on the rear of the device.

5. Configuració

5.1 Instal·lació de la bateria

2. Press the release button (if present) and slide open the battery cover.

4. Replace the battery cover and ensure it clicks securely into place.

6. Instruccions de funcionament

6.1 Encès/Apagat

• To power on the meter, press the orange power button.
• To power off the meter, press and hold the orange power button until the display turns off. The meter also features an auto power-off function after a period of inactivity.

6.2 Prendre una mesura

1. Enceneu el comptador.
2. Point the UV sensor directly towards the UV light source you wish to measure.
3. Read the UV intensity value displayed on the LCD screen.

6.3 Zero Function

• To ensure accurate readings, especially in low UV environments, use the ZERO function.
• Cover the UV sensor completely to block all light.
• Press the 'ZERO' button. The display should show '0' or a very small value.

6.4 Selecció d'unitats

• Press the 'UNIT' button to cycle through available measurement units, typically µW/cm² (microwatts per square centimeter) and mW/cm² (milliwatts per square centimeter).

6.5 Retenció de dades

• Press the 'HOLD' button (often marked 'H') to freeze the current reading on the display.
• Press 'HOLD' again to release the reading and return to live measurement.

6.6 Min/Max Function

• While measuring, press the 'MIN/MAX' button (or similar, depending on model) to display the minimum or maximum UV intensity recorded since the function was activated.
• Cycle through Min, Max, and current readings by pressing the button repeatedly.
• To clear Min/Max memory, typically press and hold the 'MIN/MAX' button, or power cycle the device.

6.7 Llum de fons

• Press the backlight button (light bulb icon) to illuminate the LCD display for better visibility in low-light conditions.
• Press it again to turn off the backlight.

7. Manteniment

7.1 Neteja

8. Solució De Problemes
