1. Introducció

5. Configuració

5.1 Alimentació del dispositiu

The CONTEC 08A is battery-powered. Insert four AA batteries into the battery compartment located on the back of the device, ensuring correct polarity. Alternatively, an optional 6V DC power adapter can be used via the AC Adapter Jack.

Select the appropriate cuff size (Adult, Child, or Pediatric) based on the arm circumference of the user. Connect the cuff's air tube securely to the air jack on the side of the monitor.

6. Instruccions de funcionament

6.1 Preparació per a la mesura

For accurate readings, ensure the user is in a quiet and relaxed state:

• Adopt a comfortable sitting position, using back and arms to support the body.
• Place the elbow on a table, with the palm facing up, and the body relaxed.
• Ensure the cuff is level with the heart.
• Keep feet flat on the floor and do not cross legs.

6.2 Realització d'una mesura

1. Premeu el botó ON/OFF botó per encendre el dispositiu.
2. Utilitza el USER SWITCH botó per seleccionar el professional d'usuari desitjatfile (User 1, User 2, or User 3).
3. Ensure the correct cuff is applied snugly to the upper arm, approximately 2-3 cm above the elbow joint, with the air tube running down the center of the arm.
4. Premeu el botó INICI/PARA per iniciar la mesura. El maneguet s'inflarà automàticament.
5. Remain still and quiet during the measurement. The device will automatically deflate the cuff and display the Systolic (SYS), Diastolic (DIA), and Pulse Rate (PR) readings.
6. The measurement will be automatically stored under the selected user profile.

6.3 Selecting Measurement Mode (Adult, Pediatric, Neonatal)

The device supports three measurement modes. To switch modes:

8. Manteniment

8.1 Neteja

Clean the monitor and cuff regularly to ensure hygiene and proper function:

• Wipe the monitor's surface with a soft, dry cloth. If necessary, use a cloth lightly dampened with water or a mild disinfectant. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
• Clean the cuff with a soft, damp cloth. Do not wash the cuff in a washing machine or immerse it in water.
