1. Introducció

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your MUNBYN Portable Scanner (Model IDS001-BK). 2. Configuració

Before using your MUNBYN Portable Scanner, please follow these steps to ensure proper setup:

2.1. Instal·lació de la bateria

The scanner requires two (2) AA batteries for operation. These are not included and must be purchased separately.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the scanner.
  2. Obriu la tapa del compartiment de la bateria.

2.2. Inserció de la targeta SD

Your scanner comes with a 16GB SD card pre-installed or included. This card is essential for storing your scanned images.

  1. Locate the SD card slot on the side of the scanner.
  2. If not already inserted, gently push the 16GB SD card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is oriented correctly.
  3. To remove the SD card, gently push it inwards again until it springs out.

2.3. Encès

Manteniu premut el botó Alimentació/escaneig button for a few seconds until the display screen illuminates. The scanner is now ready for use.

3. Instruccions de funcionament

The MUNBYN Portable Scanner is designed for intuitive handheld scanning. Follow these guidelines for optimal results.

3.1. Scanning Documents and Photos

  1. Ensure the document or photo you wish to scan is placed on a flat, stable surface. The scanner cannot accurately capture images from concave or convex areas, such as the binding of a book.
  2. Hold the scanner firmly with both hands.
  3. Position the scanner at the top edge of the document, ensuring the scanning window is aligned with the content.

  5. Slowly and steadily glide the scanner downwards across the document. Maintain a consistent speed and pressure. If you move too quickly, the "error" light may illuminate, indicating an incomplete scan.
  6. Move to the next new scanning area within 3 seconds if scanning multiple sections of a large document. The scanner will automatically finish the job if no movement is detected.

3.2. Adjusting Scan Settings (DPI/Format)

The scanner allows you to adjust the DPI (dots per inch) resolution and file format (JPG/PDF).

  • Premeu el botó DPI button to cycle through available resolutions (e.g., 300 DPI, 600 DPI, 900 DPI). Higher DPI settings result in clearer images but larger file mides.
  • Premeu el botó JPG / PDF button to switch between JPEG (image) and PDF (document) file formats.

3.3. Transferring Scanned Files a l'ordinador

The scanner does not require a driver for file transfer. Simply connect it to your computer using the provided USB cable.

  3. Your computer will recognize the scanner as a removable storage device (similar to a USB drive or camera).
  4. Navigate to the scanner's storage (typically labeled as a removable disk) to access your scanned files. Files are usually named sequentially (e.g., IMG0001.JPG, DOC0002.PDF).

3.4. Using OCR Software (Optional)

For converting scanned PDF files into editable Word or Excel formats, you can use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software. This software is not included with the scanner but can be found on various app stores (e.g., Google Play Store) or online.

4. Manteniment

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your scanner.

To maintain scan quality, keep the scanning window and rollers clean.

  • Power off the scanner before cleaning.

4.2. Cura de la bateria
