1. Introducció

Thank you for choosing the WMF 1L Electric Water Boiler. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your appliance. Please read these instructions carefully before first use and keep them for future reference.

2. Instruccions de seguretat importants

Quan utilitzeu aparells elèctrics, sempre s'han de seguir les precaucions bàsiques de seguretat per reduir el risc d'incendi, descàrrega elèctrica i/o lesions a les persones, incloses les següents:

• Llegeix totes les instruccions.
• No toqueu superfícies calentes. Utilitzeu nanses o poms.
• Per protegir-vos dels perills elèctrics, no submergeu el cable, els endolls o l’aparell en aigua o en altres líquids.
• És necessària una supervisió estreta quan qualsevol aparell és utilitzat per o a prop dels nens.
• Desendolleu la presa de corrent quan no utilitzeu i abans de netejar. Deixeu refredar abans de posar o treure peces i abans de netejar l'aparell.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Contact WMF customer service for examination, repair, or adjustment.
• L'ús d'accessoris no recomanats pel fabricant de l'aparell pot provocar incendis, descàrregues elèctriques o lesions a persones.

4. Configuració

1. Desembalatge: Carefully remove all packaging materials and inspect the kettle for any damage. Keep packaging for future storage or disposal.
2. Neteja de primer ús: Before first use, fill the kettle with cold water up to the "MAX" mark. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat this process two to three times to remove any manufacturing residues.
3. Col·locació: Place the power base on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter. Ensure the power cord is not dangling where it can be pulled or tripped over.
4. Connexió d'alimentació: Connecteu el cable d'alimentació a una presa de corrent amb connexió a terra. Assegureu-vos que el volumtage matches the specifications of your appliance (refer to Section 7: Specifications).

5. Instruccions de funcionament

1. Omplir la tetera: Open the lid using the one-handed opening mechanism. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of cold water. Do not fill below the minimum mark or above the "MAX" mark (1.0 liter). The external water level indicator assists in precise filling.
2. Tancament de la tapa: Ensure the lid is securely closed before placing the kettle on the power base.
3. Placing on Power Base: Position the kettle onto the power base. It can be placed in any direction due to the 360° rotational design.
4. Encesa: Press the On/Off switch located on the handle downwards. The indicator light will illuminate, signifying that the kettle is heating.
5. Procés d'ebullició: The water will begin to heat. Once the water reaches boiling point, the kettle will automatically switch off, and the indicator light will extinguish.
6. Abocament: Carefully lift the kettle from the power base and pour the hot water. Exercise caution as the kettle body and steam can be very hot.
7. Rebullició: If you need to re-boil water immediately after it has switched off, wait a few seconds for the internal thermostat to reset before pressing the switch again.

6. Neteja i Manteniment

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your WMF Electric Water Boiler.

1. Abans de la neteja: Desendolleu sempre el bullidor de la presa de corrent i deixeu-lo refredar completament abans de netejar-lo.
2. Neteja exterior: Netegeu l'exterior del bullidor i la base elèctrica amb un drap suau i sec.amp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can scratch the surface. Do not immerse the kettle or power base in water or any other liquid.
3. Neteja interior (desincrustació): Limescale can build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. Descale regularly (e.g., monthly or as needed) to maintain efficiency and water taste.
   • Fill the kettle with a mixture of water and white vinegar (e.g., 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water) or a commercial descaling solution.

   • Let it stand for 15-30 minutes (or as per descaler instructions).

   • Boil fresh water once or twice and discard to remove any residual descaling agent.
4. Limescale Filter Cleaning: The removable limescale filter helps prevent scale from entering your cup.

   • Open the lid and carefully remove the filter.
   • Rinse the filter under running water and gently brush away any limescale deposits.
   • Reinsert the clean filter into its position.
5. Emmagatzematge: When not in use, store the kettle in a dry place. You can wrap the power cord around the base for neat storage.
