1. Introducció

3. Configuració i instal·lació

Installation of the BOREAL E1000L wood stove must comply with all national and local building and fire safety codes. It is highly recommended that installation be performed by a qualified professional.

3.2. Hearth Protection

The stove must be placed on a non-combustible hearth extending beyond the stove's footprint according to local regulations. This protects the floor from embers and heat.

3.3. Chimney and Flue Connection

Connect the stove to a properly sized and installed chimney system. The flue pipe diameter for the E1000L is 150mm. Ensure all connections are sealed and secure to prevent smoke leakage.

4.1. First Fire

For the first few fires, burn small fires to allow the paint and materials to cure. Some odor and smoke may be emitted during this process; ensure good ventilation.

4.2. Loading Wood

Open the air controls fully before opening the stove door to prevent smoke spillage. Place seasoned wood logs into the combustion chamber. Do not overload the stove.

4.3. Air Control

The BOREAL E1000L features adjustable air controls to regulate the burn rate. Adjust the primary and secondary air intakes to achieve the desired heat output and efficient combustion. Closing the air controls too much can lead to incomplete combustion and creosote buildup.

5. Manteniment

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your BOREAL E1000L wood stove.

5.1. Eliminació de cendres

Remove ash regularly from the ash pan. Do not allow ash to build up and touch the bottom of the grate, as this can restrict airflow and damage the stove components. Dispose of hot ashes in a metal container with a tight-fitting lid, away from combustible materials.

Clean the ceramic glass door regularly when the stove is cold. Use a specialized glass cleaner for wood stoves to remove creosote buildup. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the glass.

5.3. Chimney and Flue Pipe Cleaning

Have your chimney and flue pipes inspected and cleaned by a certified chimney sweep at least once a year, or more frequently if you burn frequently. This prevents creosote fires.

• Excessive Creosote Buildup: This indicates inefficient burning. Ensure you are burning dry wood, maintaining proper air settings, and cleaning the chimney regularly.
