Instruccions de funcionament
Follow these steps to brew a perfect cup of pour-over coffee:
- Grind Coffee Beans: For optimal flavor, use freshly ground coffee beans. A medium-fine grind is generally recommended for pour-over brewing.
- Measure Coffee: Use the included SCA measuring spoon to add the desired amount of coffee grounds into the filter. A common ratio is 1-2 tablespoons of coffee per 6 ounces of water, adjusted to personal preference.
- Heat Water: Heat fresh water to approximately 200-205°F (93-96°C). Do not use boiling water, as it can scorch the coffee.
- Pre-wet Filter (Optional, for paper filters): If using a paper filter, pour a small amount of hot water over it to rinse and pre-heat the carafe. Discard this water before adding coffee grounds.
- Bloom the Coffee: Pour just enough hot water over the coffee grounds to saturate them completely. Allow the coffee to "bloom" for 30-45 seconds. This releases trapped gases and enhances flavor extraction.
- Abocar aigua: Slowly and steadily pour the remaining hot water over the grounds in a circular motion, starting from the center and moving outwards, then back to the center. Maintain a consistent flow to ensure even extraction.
- Servir: Once all the water has filtered through, remove the filter cone. Your fresh pour-over coffee is ready to serve.
