The Ecolink FFZB1-ECO detector is positioned within hearing range of your existing UL-listed smoke detectors. When a smoke detector activates and emits its siren, the FFZB1-ECO recognizes this specific audio pattern. It then communicates this event wirelessly to your Zigbee hub, which can then trigger pre-configured actions, such as sending notifications to your smartphone or activating other smart home devices.

Instal·lació de la bateria
The device comes with a CR123A battery pre-installed. To activate, ensure the battery tab is removed if present.
Pairing with a Zigbee Hub
- Place your Zigbee hub into pairing mode. Refer to your hub's specific instructions for this process.
- On the Ecolink FFZB1-ECO, press and hold the pairing button (often located inside the battery compartment or a small pinhole) for approximately 3 seconds until the LED indicator begins to flash.
- The device should appear on your Zigbee hub's interface. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.
- Once successfully paired, the LED indicator will stop flashing.
Muntatge del detector
Choose a location within 6 inches of your existing smoke detector for optimal audio detection. Ensure the device is not obstructed.

- Drill pilot holes if necessary and secure the back cover using the provided screws.
- Reattach the main unit to the secured back cover.

Once installed and paired, the Ecolink FFZB1-ECO operates passively, listening for smoke alarm sounds. The LED indicator will typically remain off during normal operation.

When a smoke detector siren is detected, the FFZB1-ECO will transmit an alarm signal to your Zigbee hub. Your hub will then execute any configured automations, such as sending notifications or activating other smart devices.

- Activate your existing smoke detector's test button.
- Listen for the smoke detector's siren.

The device uses one CR123A battery. When the battery level is low, your Zigbee hub should report a low battery status.
- Gently twist or slide the device off its mounting plate or remove it from the adhesive.

No Alarm Detection
- Verify the device is mounted within 6 inches of the smoke detector.
- Ensure the smoke detector's siren is loud enough and its sound pattern is consistent.
- Test the smoke detector manually and observe if the FFZB1-ECO's LED briefly indicates detection (if applicable, check manual for LED behavior during detection).
- Check the device's battery level via your Zigbee hub.
Falses Alarmes
- Ensure the device is not exposed to other loud noises that mimic a smoke alarm siren.
- Reposition the device if necessary to minimize interference from other sound sources.
