1. Instal·lació de bateries
The BY-BM3031 requires two AA batteries for operation. Ensure the microphone is turned off before installing or replacing batteries.

2. Attaching to Camera/Device
The microphone features an integrated cold shoe mount with a 1/4"-20 threaded mount for versatile attachment.
- Slide the microphone's cold shoe mount into your camera's hot shoe or cold shoe adapter.
- Tighten the locking wheel on the microphone's mount to secure it in place.
- Alternatively, use the 1/4"-20 thread to mount the microphone onto a tripod, boom pole, or stand.

3. Connecting to Audio Input
The BY-BM3031 comes with an integrated 1/8" (3.5 mm) coiled cable for connecting to your recording device.
- Plug the 3.5 mm connector of the microphone's coiled cable into the microphone input jack of your DSLR, camcorder, or audio recorder.

4. Attaching Windscreen

- Parabrisa d'escuma: Ideal for indoor use or light wind conditions to reduce plosives and breath noise. Slide it over the microphone capsule.
- Fur Windscreen (Windjammer): Recommended for outdoor use or windy conditions to significantly reduce wind noise. Slide it over the foam windscreen for best results.
Instruccions de funcionament
1. Encès / apagat
Locate the power switch on the microphone body. Slide it to the "ON" position to power on the microphone. Slide it to "OFF" when not in use to conserve battery life.
2. Adjusting Gain Control
The BY-BM3031 features a three-position gain control switch to optimize your audio levels. Adjust this based on the loudness of your sound source and the input sensitivity of your recording device.
- +20 dB: Use this setting for quiet sound sources or when your recording device's input is low. This boosts the microphone's output.
- 0 dB: This is the standard, unity gain setting, suitable for most general recording situations.
- -10 dB: Use this pad setting for very loud sound sources to prevent audio clipping and distortion.

3. Using the High-Pass Filter
The high-pass filter (HPF) helps to eliminate unwanted low-frequency noise. It has two settings:
- Pis: No filter applied. Use when you want to capture the full frequency range of your audio.
- 80 Hz: Activates the high-pass filter at 80 Hz. This is useful for reducing rumble from air conditioners, traffic, or handling noise.
