1. Configuració

1.1. Què hi ha a la caixa

Your SSK M.2 SATA SSD Enclosure Adapter package includes the following items:

• SSK M.2 SATA SSD Enclosure
• Cable USB-C a USB-C

1.2. Compatibilitat

This enclosure is designed exclusively for SATA-based M.2 NGFF SSDs with B Key or B+M Key interfaces. Supported sizes include 2242mm, 2260mm, and 2280mm.

Important: This enclosure does NOT support NVMe/PCIe M.2 M Key SSDs or original MacBook SSDs.

1.3. Initial Setup for New SSDs

If you are using a brand new SSD, it may not be immediately recognized by your computer. You will need to partition and format it first:

1. Connect the enclosure with the new SSD to your computer.
2. Access Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (macOS).
3. Initialize the new SSD.
4. Create a new partition and format it. For cross-platform compatibility (Mac and Windows), it is recommended to format the drive to EXFAT.

1.4. Passos d'instal·lació

Follow these steps to install your M.2 SATA SSD into the enclosure:

1. Gently pull out the internal plastic frame from the aluminum housing.
2. Attach the thermal conductive pad to your SSD. Ensure the pad is placed appropriately and does not extend beyond the edge of the SSD.
3. Insert the assembled SSD into the internal housing. If your SSD size is 22x80mm, gently press down on plastic lock catches A and B to prevent the SSD from bending.
4. Gently press plastic lock catch C back to secure your SSD.
5. Clamp the copper washer into the semicircle groove at the end of the SSD. Ensure the bumpy upper washer is facing up.
6. Lock screw A to secure the SSD.
7. Slide the main body back into the aluminum housing until it is fully inserted.
8. Lock screw B to fix the main body in place.
