1.1 Desembalatge i contingut

Traieu amb cura tots els articles de l'embalatge. Assegureu-vos que hi hagi els components següents:

• Casio HR-170RC Plus Calculator
• Adaptador de corrent alterna
• Paper Roll (initial roll)
• Manual d'instruccions

1.2 Font d'alimentació

The calculator can be powered by either the included AC adapter or four (4) AA-size batteries (not included).

• Funcionament de CA: Connect the AC adapter to the calculator's power jack and then plug it into a standard electrical outlet.
• Funcionament amb bateria: Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the calculator. Insert four AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover securely.

Nota: When using batteries, the calculator will automatically turn off after a period of inactivity to conserve power.

1.3 Instal·lació del rotllo de paper

To enable printing, install a paper roll:

1. Lift the paper roll arm at the back of the calculator.
2. Place the new paper roll onto the arm, ensuring the paper feeds from the bottom.
3. Feed the leading edge of the paper into the paper slot at the back of the printer mechanism until it emerges from the front.
4. Premeu el botó ALIMENTACIÓ botó per avançar el paper.
5. Tear off any excess paper using the metal tear bar.

1.4 Ink Roller Replacement

The calculator uses an ink roller for dual-color printing. Replace the ink roller when printouts become faint or colors are inconsistent.

1. Assegureu-vos que la calculadora estigui apagada.
2. Gently lift the printer cover.
3. Remove the old ink roller by pulling it upwards.
4. Unpack the new ink roller and insert it into the slot, ensuring it clicks into place.
5. Tanqueu la coberta de la impressora.

2.1 Càlculs bàsics

The calculator supports standard arithmetic operations:

• Addició (+): Enter first number, press +, enter second number, press =.
• Resta (-): Enter first number, press -, enter second number, press =.
• Multiplicació (×): Enter first number, press ×, enter second number, press =.
• Divisió (÷): Enter first number, press ÷, enter second number, press =.
• Entrada clara (CE): Esborra l'últim número introduït.
• Esborra-ho tot (C): Esborra totes les entrades i càlculs.

2.2 Funcions d'impressió

The HR-170RC Plus features dual-color printing at 2.0 lines per second.

• Print On/Off Switch: Utilitza el ON/OFF PRT switch to enable or disable printing.
• Dual-Color Output: Positive values print in black, negative values print in red for easy distinction.
• Botó FEED: Advances the paper manually.

2.3 Check, Correct & Re-Print Functionality

Aquesta característica us permet tornarview and correct up to 150 steps of your calculations.

• CHECK Button: Press to enter check mode and review previous entries.
• Arrow Keys (↑↓): Navigate through the calculation steps.
• CORRECT Button: Use to correct an incorrect entry in check mode.
• REPRINT Button: Prints the entire calculation history after corrections have been made.
• Funció posterior a la impressió: Allows for printing of calculations after they have been performed and reviewed.

2.4 Business and Tax Functions

The calculator includes dedicated keys for common business and tax calculations:

• COST/SELL/MAR (Margin): For calculating cost, selling price, and profit margin.
• MU (Mark-Up) & MD (Mark-Down): For calculating mark-ups and mark-downs.
• TAX+ / TAX- Keys: For adding or subtracting tax amounts. The tax rate can be set in the calculator's settings.
• Currency Exchange: Allows for calculations involving different currencies (exchange rates must be set).

2.5 característiques addicionals

3.1 Cleaning the Calculator

Per mantenir l'aspecte i la funcionalitat de la calculadora:

• Netegeu l'exterior amb un drap suau i sec.
• Per a la brutícia persistent, lleugerament dampal drap amb aigua o un netejador suau i no abrasiu.
• Do not use strong solvents, alcohol, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the casing o pantalla.
• Avoid spraying liquids directly onto the calculator.

3.2 Substitució del rotlle de paper

When the paper roll runs out or a red line appears on the paper (indicating low paper), replace it following the steps in Section 1.3.

3.3 Ink Roller Replacement

Replace the ink roller as described in Section 1.4 when print quality deteriorates.

3.4 Substitució de la bateria

If the display becomes dim or the calculator does not power on with batteries, replace all four AA batteries simultaneously, following the instructions in Section 1.2.
