Upon unboxing your Moukey MCM-1, please verify that all the following items are present:

• 1 x 3.5mm TRS Output Cable (for DSLR Cameras, Camcorders, Recorders)
• 1 x 3.5mm TRRS Output Cable (for Smartphones, Tablets, Mac)

Follow these steps to properly set up your Moukey MCM-1 microphone with your recording device.

1. Attaching the Shock Mount

1. Gently insert the microphone into the red shock mount. Ensure it is securely seated.
2. The shock mount features a cold shoe adapter at its base. Slide this adapter into the cold shoe mount on your DSLR camera or camcorder. Tighten the locking wheel if available.
3. For smartphone rigs or tripods, the shock mount also has a 1/4" thread bottom. Attach it to any standard tripod or rig with a compatible screw.

• For DSLR Cameras, Camcorders, and Audio Recorders: Utilitza el 3.5mm TRS Output Cable. Connect one end to the microphone and the other end to the 3.5mm microphone input jack on your device.
• For Smartphones, Tablets, and Mac: Utilitza el 3.5mm TRRS Output Cable. Connect one end to the microphone and the other end to the 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack on your device.
• For iPhone 7 and above: An original 3.5mm-to-Lightning adapter (not included) is required. Connect the TRRS cable to the adapter, then the adapter to your iPhone.
• Nota important: Ensure you use the correct cable (TRS or TRRS) for your device. Refer to the cable's labeling instructions. Incorrect cable usage will prevent the microphone from functioning properly.
• Compatibility Restrictions: This microphone is not suitable for Canon EOS series, T5i, T6, T7, or any camera lacking a 3.5mm microphone input jack.

3. Attaching Wind Protection

• Foam Cover: For indoor use or light wind conditions, slide the foam cover over the microphone head.
• Furry Windscreen (Dead Cat): For outdoor use or windy environments, place the furry windscreen over the foam cover or directly over the microphone head for maximum wind noise reduction.

The Moukey MCM-1 is a battery-free microphone, meaning it draws power directly from your connected device. No external power source or batteries are required for operation.

1. Ensure the microphone is securely attached and correctly connected to your recording device using the appropriate cable.
2. Position the microphone to face the sound source directly. The MCM-1 features a unidirectional (cardioid) polar pattern, which means it is most sensitive to sounds coming from the front and less sensitive to sounds from the sides and rear. This helps in isolating the desired audio and reducing ambient noise.
3. On your recording device (camera, smartphone, etc.), select the external microphone as the audio input source in the settings, if applicable.
4. Perform a test recording to check audio levels and quality before your main recording session. Adjust your device's audio input gain as needed.
5. For optimal sound, maintain an appropriate distance from the sound source. Avoid touching the microphone or cables during recording to prevent handling noise, which the shock mount helps to minimize.

Manteniment

• Neteja: Feu servir un drap suau i sec per netejar el cos del micròfon. No utilitzeu netejadors líquids ni dissolvents.
• Emmagatzematge: When not in use, store the microphone and its accessories in the provided soft carrying pouch to protect them from dust and physical damage.
• Manipulació: Avoid dropping the microphone or subjecting it to strong impacts, as this can damage the internal components.
