1.2 Instal·lació física

Col·locació: Place the switch on a stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the device. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
Connexió de dispositius: Connect your network devices (e.g., computers, printers, network-attached storage) to the switch's RJ45 ports using standard Ethernet cables. The MS108G features 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports.

2. Funcionament

The MERCUSYS MS108G is an unmanaged switch, meaning it operates automatically without requiring any software configuration. Once connected, it facilitates high-speed data transfer between connected devices.

2.1 Funcionalitat bàsica

Plug and Play: Simply connect your devices and power on the switch. No drivers or software installation are required.
Gigabit Speed: All 8 ports support 10/100/1000Mbps auto-negotiation, providing maximum throughput for your wired network.
MDI/MDIX automàtic: Eliminates the need for crossover cables. Any port can be connected to a server, a hub, or a switch using a straight-through cable.
Indicadors LED: Each port has an LED indicator to show link status and activity. A solid light indicates a stable connection, and a blinking light indicates data transmission.

3. Manteniment

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your MS108G switch.
