Introducció
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and care of your Smeg 50's Retro Style Drip Coffee Machine. Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance and keep them for future reference.
Configuració

Instruccions de funcionament
1. Preparing to Brew
- Afegeix aigua: Open the top lid of the coffee machine. Fill the glass carafe with the desired amount of fresh, cold water (up to 10 cups maximum). Pour the water into the water reservoir located under the lid. The water level indicator on the side of the machine will show the current water level.
- Insereix un filtre: Place the reusable coffee filter into the filter basket. If using paper filters, insert a #4 cone-shaped paper filter into the reusable filter.
- Afegeix el marc de cafè: Add your preferred amount of ground coffee to the filter. For a standard brew, approximately one tablespoon of coffee per cup is recommended, but adjust to your taste.
- Tanca la tapa: Close the top lid securely. Ensure the glass carafe is properly placed on the warming plate.

2. Elaboració de cafè
- Comença a fer cervesa: Press the power button (usually indicated by a circle with a vertical line) on the control panel. The machine will begin the brewing cycle.

Manteniment

- Neteja diària: After each use, discard used coffee grounds and rinse the reusable filter and carafe. The glass carafe can be washed with hot, soapy water or placed on the top rack of a dishwasher (ensure the lid is removed).

Resolució de problemes
If you encounter issues with your coffee machine, refer to the following common solutions:
- Cafè no preparat: Ensure the machine is plugged in, the power button is pressed, and the water reservoir has sufficient water. Check if the carafe is correctly positioned on the warming plate.
- Cafè feble: Adjust the aroma intensity setting to 'Intense' or increase the amount of coffee grounds used. Ensure the 1-4 cup function is not activated if brewing a full pot.
- Overflowing Filter: Do not overfill the filter basket with coffee grounds. Ensure the carafe is correctly placed and the anti-drip system is not obstructed.
- Cafè no prou calent: Verify the warming plate is active. If the issue persists, descaling may be required.
