The POWERTEC 71365 Combo T-Track is a heavy-duty aluminum extrusion designed for a wide range of woodworking and machine applications. It integrates both a T-track and a miter track into a single unit, offering versatility for various jigs, fixtures, and accessories.

2. Configuració i instal·lació

The POWERTEC Combo T-Track is designed for easy integration into various woodworking setups, including router tables, drill presses, workbenches, and custom jigs. Proper installation ensures optimal performance and safety.

2.1 Mounting the T-Track

The track features pre-drilled mounting holes for secure attachment. Use appropriate wood screws (not included) for your application.

• Hole Specifications: 16 pre-drilled 3/16" holes, spaced 1-1/2" from each end, then every 3 inches.
• Cargols recomanats: #8 wood screws (not included). The holes are countersunk to accommodate these screws flush with the track surface.

1. Determine the desired location for your T-track. Ensure the surface is flat and stable.
2. Mark the positions for the mounting holes on your workpiece. The extruded line on the bottom of the track aids in precise alignment.
3. Pre-drill pilot holes in your workpiece to prevent wood splitting, especially in hardwoods.
4. Align the T-track with the pre-drilled holes and secure it using #8 wood screws. Ensure screws are tightened firmly but do not overtighten.

3. Operating the T-Track

The dual design of the Combo T-Track allows for versatile use with various woodworking accessories.

3.1 Using the Miter Track

The miter track side is designed to accept standard 3/4" x 3/8" miter gauge bars. This allows for precise cross-cutting, angle cuts, and other operations requiring a sliding fence or jig.

• Insert your miter gauge bar into the miter track slot.
• Ensure the miter gauge slides smoothly without excessive play.
• Secure your workpiece and make cuts as per your project requirements.

3.2 Using the T-Track Slot

The T-track slot is compatible with 1/4"-20 hex-bolts or specific 1/4" T-bolts (DuBois 51055 and 51056). This side is ideal for mounting featherboards, hold-downs, stops, and other clampaccessoris.

• Insert the head of a compatible 1/4" hex-bolt or T-bolt into the T-track slot.
• Attach your desired accessory (e.g., featherboard, clamp) to the bolt.
• Tighten the knob or nut to secure the accessory in place along the track.

4. Manteniment

To ensure the longevity and smooth operation of your POWERTEC Combo T-Track, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

• Neteja: Regularly wipe down the aluminum track with a clean, dry cloth to remove sawdust, debris, and grime. For stubborn residue, a mild, non-abrasive cleaner can be used.
• Lubricació: While not strictly necessary for the aluminum itself, a light application of dry lubricant (e.g., silicone spray or PTFE spray) can be applied to the slots to ensure smooth sliding of accessories. Avoid oil-based lubricants that can attract sawdust.
• Inspecció: Periodically inspect the track for any signs of damage, bending, or wear. Ensure all mounting screws remain tight.
• Emmagatzematge: If removing the track for storage, keep it in a dry environment to prevent corrosion, although anodized aluminum is highly resistant.

5. Solució De Problemes

If you encounter issues with your POWERTEC Combo T-Track, consider the following common solutions:

• Accessories not sliding smoothly: Check for sawdust or debris in the track slots. Clean thoroughly. A light application of dry lubricant may also help.
• Excessive play in miter track: Ensure your miter gauge bar is the correct standard size (3/4" x 3/8"). Some miter gauges have adjustable mechanisms to reduce play.
• T-bolts not fitting: Remember that this T-track is designed for 1/4"-20 hex-bolts or specific 1/4" T-bolts (DuBois 51055 and 51056). Universal T-bolts or larger T-bolts will not fit.
• Track not sitting flush: Verify that the mounting surface is flat and free of obstructions. Ensure mounting screws are fully seated and not stripped.
• Track appears bent or warped: While rare due to the extruded aluminum construction, if the track is visibly bent, it may have been damaged during shipping or handling. Contact customer support if this is the case upon initial inspection.
