Setup and Cable Preparation

Before crimping, proper cable preparation is essential for a successful connection.

1. Prepare Ethernet Cable: Gather your Ethernet cable, RJ45 connector, and the crimping tool.
2. Strip Cable Jacket: Insert the cable into the stripping port of the crimper. Rotate the crimper one full turn to strip the outer jacket of the cable.
3. Untwist and Flatten Wires: Carefully remove the stripped jacket. Untwist the individual wire pairs and straighten them out.

5. Insert into Connector: Carefully push the arranged wires through the RJ45 pass-through connector until they exit the front.
6. Place and Crimp: Place the connector with the wires into the appropriate slot on the crimping tool. Squeeze the handles firmly to crimp the pins and cut off any excess wires protruding from the connector.

Operating the Crimping Tool

The PETECHTOOL crimping tool is designed for ease of use. Once the cable is prepared and inserted into the connector, align the connector with the correct crimping slot (8P8C for RJ45, 6P6C for RJ11/RJ12). Apply firm, even pressure to the handles until the crimping mechanism fully engages and releases. The integrated cutting blade will trim the excess wires automatically for pass-through connectors. For non-pass-through connectors, ensure wires are trimmed to the correct length before insertion.
