1. Introducció
The Electro-Harmonix Tri Parallel Mixer is a powerful effects creation and mixing hub designed for musicians. It features three separate FX loops and flexible controls, allowing for multiple configurations. This compact and intuitive device can be used to switch between or mix up to three separate effects loops, send a single instrument to three different amplifiers, or combine three separate instruments into a single output. Its parallel mixing capabilities enable unique sonic textures not achievable with traditional series connections.

2. Configuració
2.1 Font d'alimentació
The Tri Parallel Mixer operates on a 9.6 Volts DC power supply, which is included with the unit. Ensure you use the correct power supply to prevent damage to the pedal.
2.2 Connexions
Connect your instrument to the INPUT jack on the right side of the pedal. Connect the OUTPUT jack on the left side to your amplifier or the next pedal in your signal chain. For each of the three FX loops, connect the SEND jack to the input of your effects pedal(s) and the RETURN jack to the output of your effects pedal(s).

3. Instruccions de funcionament
3.1 Global Controls
- MÀSTER VOL: Controls the overall output volume of the pedal.
- DRY VOL: Adjusts the level of the dry (unaffected) signal sent to the pedal's output. This is particularly useful for bass players to retain low-end clarity.
- MASTER STATUS LED: Indicates whether the Tri Parallel Mixer is active (lit) or bypassed (off).
3.2 Channel Controls (CH 1, CH 2, CH 3)
Each of the three channels features an identical set of controls:
- ENVIAR: Controls the level of the signal sent out from the channel's SEND jack to your effects.
- TORNADA: Controls the level of the signal returning from your effects into the channel's RETURN jack.
- EQ: A tone control that allows you to boost or cut the high and low frequencies of the signal within that specific channel's loop.
- PHASE (0/180): Inverts the phase of the signal sent out of the SEND jack when set to 180 degrees. This is crucial for correcting phase issues that may arise with certain effects pedals.
- Channel Status LED: Indicates if the individual channel is active (lit).
3.3 Modes of Operation: XOR and AND
The Tri Parallel Mixer supports two primary modes for managing its channels:
- XOR Mode (Exclusive OR): In this mode, only one of the three channels can be active at a time. Activating one channel will automatically deactivate any other active channels. This mode is ideal for switching between different effects chains or instruments. To enter XOR mode, double-click any footswitch.
- AND Mode: In this mode, multiple channels can be active simultaneously, allowing you to mix their signals in parallel. This enables complex sound layering and blending. To enter AND mode, double-click the MASTER footswitch.
3.4 Parallel Effects Mixing
Unlike traditional series connections where effects are chained one after another, parallel mixing allows the dry signal and multiple wet (effected) signals to be blended simultaneously. This preserves the original tone's clarity and allows for unique sonic textures. Adjust the SEND and RETURN knobs for each channel to control the blend of each effect.

3.5 Instrument Switching and Mixing
The Tri Parallel Mixer can serve as a versatile instrument switcher or mixer. By connecting multiple instruments to the RETURN jacks of different channels, you can switch between them (XOR mode) or mix them into a single output (AND mode). Adjust each channel's RETURN knob to balance the levels of the instruments.
3.6 Amplifier Splitting
You can use the Tri Parallel Mixer to send a single instrument's signal to multiple amplifiers. Connect your instrument to the INPUT jack, and then connect the SEND jacks of different channels to the inputs of your various amplifiers. This allows for instant switching between amps or simultaneous use of multiple amps for a wider soundstage.

4. Manteniment
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Tri Parallel Mixer, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Neteja: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the pedal. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or internal components.
- Emmagatzematge: Guardeu el pedal en un lloc fresc i sec, allunyat de la llum solar directa, de temperatures extremes i d'alta humitat.
- Manipulació: Handle the pedal with care. Avoid dropping it or subjecting it to strong impacts.
- Connexions: Periodically check all cable connections for tightness and ensure they are free from kinks or damage.
5. Solució De Problemes
If you encounter issues with your Tri Parallel Mixer, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Sense so:
- Assegureu-vos que la font d'alimentació estigui connectada correctament i que funcioni.
- Check all instrument and effects loop cables for proper connection and integrity.
- Verify that the MASTER VOL and DRY VOL knobs are not set to minimum.
- Confirm that the active channel's RETURN knob is not set to minimum.
- If in XOR mode, ensure only one channel is active.
- So feble o distorsionat:
- Check the levels of the SEND and RETURN knobs for each active channel.
- Adjust the EQ knob for the affected channel.
- Ensure the correct phase setting (0 or 180) for your effects loop to avoid phase cancellation.
- Test the pedal with different cables and a different power outlet.
- Els LED no s'encenen:
- Verify the power supply connection.
- If channel LEDs are not lighting, ensure the channel is activated via its footswitch.
If the issue persists after following these steps, please contact Electro-Harmonix customer support for further assistance.
