The ROFAVEZCO EX70H2 consists of a Transmitter (TX) unit and a Receiver (RX) unit. Both units feature a slim, durable metal casing.

3.1. Transmitter (TX) Unit

4. Instruccions de configuració

Follow these steps to properly install and configure your HDBaseT HDMI ARC Extender.

4.1. Basic Connection

1. Connect your HDMI source device (e.g., Blu-ray player, game console) to the Entrada HDMI port of the Transmitter (TX) unit using an HDMI 2.0 cable.
2. Connect your display device (e.g., TV, projector) to the SORTIDA HDMI port of the Receiver (RX) unit using an HDMI 2.0 cable.
3. Connecteu el SORTIDA HDBaseT port of the Transmitter to the HDBaseT IN port of the Receiver using a single Cat5e/Cat6/Cat7 Ethernet cable. Ensure the cable is of good quality and properly terminated.

4.2. ARC (Audio Return Channel) Setup

The EX70H2 supports ARC for returning audio from your TV to an AV receiver. ARC supports 5.1ch audio only, not Atmos. Ensure your HDMI source, TV, and AV receiver support 5.1ch audio.

1. Ensure your TV's ARC function is enabled.

4.3. SPDIF Audio Return Setup (if TV does not support ARC)

If your TV does not support ARC, you can use the SPDIF optical connection for audio return.

1. Connect an optical cable from your TV's SPDIF OUT port to the SPDIF IN port on the Receiver (RX) unit.
2. On the Receiver (RX) unit, set the Interruptor ARC to the "SPDIF" position.
3. Connect an optical cable from the SORTIDA SPDIF port on the Transmitter (TX) unit to your AV receiver's optical input.
4. The audio from your TV will be transmitted over the Ethernet cable and output via the Transmitter's SPDIF OUT port.

4.4. IR Control Setup

The extender supports bi-directional IR control, allowing you to control the source device from the display location or the display device from the source location.

1. Connect the IR Receiver cable to the IR IN port on the unit where you want to receive IR signals (e.g., Receiver unit near the TV to control the source).
2. Position the IR Receiver eye in a location where it can receive signals from your remote control.
3. Connect the IR Emitter cable to the IR OUT port on the other unit (e.g., Transmitter unit near the source).
4. Place the IR Emitter head directly over the IR sensor of the device you wish to control.

4.5. Control CEC

The EX70H2 supports CEC (Consumer Electronics Control). Ensure your TV and connected devices support CEC and that the function is enabled in their settings. Connect the HDMI cables to CEC/ARC compatible HDMI ports on your TV.

4.6. Scaler Function

The Transmitter unit features a ESCALADOR switch. When set to "ON", it will down-scale a 4K input signal to 1080P output. This is useful if your display device only supports 1080P. If your display supports 4K, ensure the SCALER switch is set to "OFF" for optimal 4K picture quality. For 4K content, power on the 4K TV first, then connect the HDBaseT Extender TX and RX units.

7. Solució De Problemes

• Sense vídeo/àudio:

  • Test with shorter, certified HDMI cables directly connected to source and display to confirm they function independently.
  • Try a different Cat5e/6/7 cable.
  • If using 4K, ensure the SCALER switch on the TX unit is set to "OFF".
  • Power cycle all devices (source, extender, display).
• ARC/SPDIF Audio Not Working:
  • Ensure your TV's ARC function is enabled in its settings.
  • Verify the ARC switch on the RX unit is set to the correct mode ("TV" for HDMI ARC, "SPDIF" for optical).
  • Confirm that your AV receiver is set to the correct input for ARC or optical audio.
  • Ensure all audio cables (HDMI ARC, optical) are correctly connected.
  • Remember ARC supports 5.1ch audio only, not Atmos.
• IR Control Not Working:
  • Ensure the IR Emitter head is placed directly over the IR sensor of the device to be controlled.
  • Verify the IR Receiver eye is positioned to receive signals from your remote.
  • Check that the IR cables are securely plugged into the correct IR IN/OUT ports.
• Intermittent Signal/Poor Picture Quality:
  • Use high-quality Cat6 or Cat7 cable for longer distances.
  • Avoid running the Ethernet cable near strong electromagnetic interference sources.
  • Ensure the Ethernet cable is not excessively bent or damaged.
  • If transmitting 4K, ensure the SCALER switch is OFF.
