1. Informació important de seguretat

Please read and understand all instructions before installing and using the Dreambaby Ava Baby Gate. Failure to follow these instructions could result in serious injury or death.

3. Guia d'instal·lació

3.1. Measuring for Fit

The Dreambaby Ava gate fits openings between 29.5 inches and 40 inches (75cm - 102cm) when using the included extensions. It measures 30 inches (76cm) tall.

1. Measure the width of your doorway or opening at the bottom, middle, and top. Use the smallest measurement.
2. Determine if extensions are needed based on your measurement.

Before installation, accurately measure your doorway or opening to ensure the gate fits within the 29.5 to 40 inch range.

3.2. Pressure Mounted Installation (Standard Doorways/Hallways)

This method requires no drilling and is suitable for most doorways and hallways where a secure pressure fit can be achieved.

1. Assemble the gate by inserting the joining pins into the gate and any necessary extensions.
2. Attach the adjustable wall mounts to each corner of the gate.
3. Place the gate in the desired opening. Ensure the bottom bar is flush with the floor.
4. Fasten the wall cups to the wall using the double-sided adhesive tape at the points where the adjustable wall mounts meet the wall.
5. Begin tightening the tension knobs on the adjustable wall mounts by turning them clockwise. Start with the lower knobs, then proceed to the upper ones. Tighten them simultaneously for even pressure on both sides.
6. Continue tightening until the gate is firmly secured and aligned within the opening. The gap between the gate frame and the opening mechanism should be minimal but not completely closed.

The gate installed in a standard doorway, demonstrating its pressure-mounted design which requires no drilling for this application.

3.3. Hardware Mounted Installation (Top of Stairs)

For maximum safety at the top of stairs, hardware mounting is required.

1. Follow steps 1-3 from the Pressure Mounted Installation.
2. Instead of relying solely on adhesive, the wall cups MUST be screwed into the wall using the provided wood screws. Mark the screw holes through the wall cups.
3. Drill pilot holes if necessary, then secure the wall cups firmly to the wall with the screws.
4. Insert the adjustable wall mounts into the secured wall cups.
5. Tighten the tension knobs as described in step 5 of the Pressure Mounted Installation, ensuring a very secure fit.

For installation at the top of stairs, the gate requires the included hardware kit to be screwed into place for enhanced security.

To open the gate door, simply slide the button on the top latch mechanism, pull it upwards, and then push or pull the gate door open. To close, gently push the gate door until it clicks securely into the latch.

The Dreambaby Ava gate is designed to open in either direction, providing flexibility for various household layouts. It also features a built-in "smart stay-open" mechanism. When opened past a certain point, the gate door will remain open, allowing for easy and frustration-free passage when carrying items or children.
