1. Introducció

2. Configuració

2.1 Desembalatge

Carefully unpack the Vertiv GTHD sensor and inspect for any signs of damage. Retain all packaging materials for future transport or storage.

2.3 Instal·lació

Muntatge: The sensor can be mounted on a tabletop or secured using the integrated mounting tab. Ensure the sensor is placed in an area where it can accurately measure the ambient temperature and humidity, away from direct heat sources or airflow obstructions.
Connexió: Connect one end of the provided 10ft (3m) cable to one of the RJ-45 ports on the GTHD sensor. Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible Vertiv Geist rPDU or Environmental Monitor.
Connexió en cadena (opcional): If connecting additional sensors, use the second RJ-45 port on the GTHD sensor to daisy-chain another compatible sensor. Refer to the documentation of the additional sensor for specific connection instructions.

3. Instruccions de funcionament

Once connected to a compatible Vertiv Geist rPDU or Environmental Monitor, the GTHD sensor will automatically begin transmitting temperature, humidity, and dew point data. Refer to the user manual of your Vertiv Geist rPDU or Environmental Monitor for instructions on how to access and interpret the sensor data.

3.1 Data Monitoring

Temperature readings are typically displayed in Celsius or Fahrenheit, depending on the host device's configuration.
Humidity is displayed as a percentage d'humitat relativa.
Dew point is calculated based on temperature and humidity readings.

3.2 Alarms and Thresholds

Your Vertiv Geist rPDU or Environmental Monitor allows you to set custom thresholds for temperature, humidity, and dew point. Configure these thresholds to receive alerts when environmental conditions exceed or fall below desired levels. Consult your host device's manual for detailed instructions on setting up alarms.

4. Manteniment

4.1 Neteja

To maintain optimal performance, periodically clean the exterior of the sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the device.

4.2 Calibració

The Vertiv GTHD sensor is factory calibrated. Under normal operating conditions, re-calibration is generally not required. If you suspect inaccurate readings, consult Vertiv support.
