1. Introducció

This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your Askey RAC2V1K 802.11ac Wave 2 Wireless Router. This advanced in-home WiFi router delivers internet connectivity, network security, and personalization features. Please read this manual carefully before using the device.

The Askey RAC2V1K router is designed to provide robust and reliable wireless connectivity for your home or small business. It features:

• Concurrent 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands for flexible connectivity.
• 3 to 4 Tx / Rx antennas for each frequency band, supporting up to 4 logical data streams.
• 802.11ac Wave 2 WiFi chipsets for higher processing power and improved performance.
• Industry-standard WPA2 personal security for a secure WiFi network.
• Four Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) LAN ports for wired connections.

This router allows you to personalize your WiFi network name (SSID) and password, pause or resume WiFi access for connected devices, and supports port forwarding for enhanced gaming performance.

4. Configuració

Before you begin, ensure you have an active internet connection from your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and a working modem. This router requires a separate modem for internet connectivity.

4.1 Passos inicials de connexió

1. Apagueu els dispositius: Disconnect the power from your cable modem and the Askey router.
2. Connecteu el cable Ethernet: Connect one end of the provided Ethernet cable to the LAN port on your modem. Connect the other end to the yellow 'Internet' (WAN) port on the back of your Askey router.

You will be prompted for a username and password, which are typically found on a label on the router itself.

The router broadcasts two Wi-Fi networks: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. The 2.4 GHz band offers wider coverage, while the 5 GHz band provides faster speeds over shorter distances.

If you encounter problems with your router, refer to the following common issues and solutions:
