1. Introducció

3. Configuració i instal·lació

The 3M 60927 Cartridge/Filter is designed for easy attachment to compatible 3M half and full facepiece respirators using a bayonet connection system.

3.1 Equipament necessari

• 3M Mercury Vapor/Organic Vapor/Acid Gas Cartridge/Filter P100 (Model 60927)
• Compatible 3M Half or Full Facepiece Respirator (sold separately)

3.2 Passos d'instal·lació

1. Inspeccionar components: Before each use, inspect the cartridge/filter and the respirator facepiece for any signs of damage, cracks, or wear. Do not use damaged equipment.
2. Align Cartridge: Align the bayonet connection on the cartridge with the corresponding receptacle on the respirator facepiece. The cartridge should be oriented so the 3M logo and model number are visible and facing outwards.
3. Attach Cartridge: Push the cartridge onto the receptacle and twist clockwise approximately a quarter turn until it clicks into place. Ensure both cartridges (if using a dual-cartridge respirator) are securely attached.
4. Perform Seal Check: Conduct a positive and/or negative pressure user seal check as described in your respirator's instruction manual to ensure a proper fit and seal.

Once properly installed on a compatible 3M respirator and a successful user seal check has been performed, the 3M 60927 cartridge/filter provides respiratory protection.

• Temps de desgast: The service life of the cartridge depends on various factors including contaminant concentration, breathing rate, humidity, and temperature. Follow your employer's change-out schedule or local regulations.
• Contaminant Detection: The cartridge is designed to filter specific gases, vapors, and particulates. If you detect the smell or taste of contaminants, or experience irritation, immediately leave the contaminated area and replace the cartridges.
• P100 Particulate Filter: The integrated P100 filter provides high-efficiency particulate filtration against both oil and non-oil based aerosols.

5.1 Substitució del cartutx

Cartridges must be replaced when:

• Contaminants are detected by smell, taste, or irritation.
• Breathing resistance significantly increases.
• The established change-out schedule is reached.

To replace, twist the used cartridge counter-clockwise to detach it from the respirator. Dispose of used cartridges according to local regulations. Install new cartridges following the "Setup and Installation" steps.

5.2 Emmagatzematge

Store unused cartridges in their original, sealed packaging in a clean, dry, and cool environment, away from direct sunlight and contaminants. Do not store near chemicals or in areas with high humidity.
