Introducció

The Ameda MYA Joy Double Electric Breast Pump is a portable, hospital-grade breast pump designed for efficient and comfortable milk expression. It features up to 250 mmHg suction strength and can be used for single or double pumping. The pump is equipped with a HygieniKit system, which includes an FDA-cleared protective barrier to help prevent contamination. This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Ameda MYA Joy breast pump.

The Ameda MYA Joy comes with all necessary components to begin pumping, including the pump motor, power adapter, two sets of flanges (25mm and 28.5mm), two HygieniKits, and extra valves and diaphragms for convenience.

Configuració

Before first use, sanitize all parts of the HygieniKit (except adapter cap, tubing, tubing adapter, and pump motor). Recommended method for cleaning is boiling for 20 minutes. Allow parts to fully dry before assembly.

1. Assemble the HygieniKit Milk Collection System: Hold the valve by the flat edge and compress lightly. Gently push the valve onto the ring on the bottom of the breast flange. Attach and tighten the bottle. Then insert the diaphragm into the top of the flange.
2. Connecteu el tub: Attach the adapter caps by pressing them onto the top of the flange until you hear a pop. Connect the tubing into the pump motor.
3. Power the Pump: Connect the AC power adapter to the pump motor and a power outlet. Alternatively, insert four AA batteries into the battery compartment for portable use.

The HygieniKit features a viral barrier to protect breast milk and pump components from contamination. Inspect parts regularly and replace if worn or damaged to maintain optimal performance.

Ensure proper fit of the breast flange on your breast to create a seal. Press the power button to turn on the device. The pump will start in Stimulation Mode.

• Mode d'estimulació: This mode uses short, sharp suctions to initiate milk let-down. You can adjust the stimulation vacuum level between 1 and 6 using the '+' and '-' buttons to your preferred comfort level.
• Mode d'expressió: Once your milk starts to flow, press the 'M' (Mode) button to switch into Expression Mode. This mode uses longer, drawn-out suctions for efficient milk expression. You can adjust the expression vacuum level between 1 and 12 using the '+' and '-' buttons to your preferred comfort level.

The pump automatically switches from Stimulation Mode to Expression Mode after two minutes. To stop expressing, press the power button. Remove the milk collection kit from your breast.

Manteniment

After every use, clean all parts of the milk collection kit (except tubing and adapter cap) in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before next use. Do not clean the tubing or adapter cap unless milk or condensation is present inside, in which case they should be replaced.

• Succió baixa: Ensure all parts of the HygieniKit are correctly assembled and sealed. Check that the tubing is securely connected to both the pump motor and the adapter caps. Replace worn or damaged valves or diaphragms. If using batteries, ensure they are fresh and correctly inserted.
• Durada de la bateria: The pump operates on 4 AA batteries, providing approximately 2 hours of runtime. For extended use, connect the pump to the AC power adapter.
