1. Introducció

Thank you for choosing the AEGIS Safe Box. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your new 1.6 Cubic Feet Fireproof Digital Keypad Security Steel Home Office Safe. Please read these instructions carefully before setup and use, and retain them for future reference.

2. Informació important de seguretat

• Do Not Drill Internally: WARNING: DO NOT DRILL FROM ANY LOCATION INSIDE THE SAFE. Drilling internally can compromise the safe's fireproof and security features.
• Claus d'emergència: Keep the emergency keys in a secure location away from the safe. Do not store them inside the safe.
• Bateries: Use only 4x 1.5V AA Alkaline batteries (not included) for the electronic keypad. Replace batteries promptly when the "LOW" indicator lights up.
• Nens: Keep children away from the safe and do not allow them to play with the keypad or keys.

5. Configuració i instal·lació

Your AEGIS Safe Box comes ready for use, but for enhanced security, it is recommended to bolt it down to a floor or wall.

5.1 Instal·lació de la bateria

1. Obriu la porta de la caixa forta amb la clau d'emergència (si encara no està oberta).
2. Localitzeu el compartiment de la bateria a la part interior de la porta.
3. Insert 4x 1.5V AA Alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Tanqueu la tapa del compartiment de la bateria.

5.2 Securing the Safe (Optional but Recommended)

The safe has pre-drilled holes for secure mounting. Follow these steps:

1. Desbloqueja la caixa forta i obre la porta.
2. Look to the bottom or the back of the safe for two indentations (pre-drilled holes).
3. Use a screw to mark the floor or wall through these holes.
4. Deixeu de banda la caixa forta per netejar els dos punts marcats per perforar.
5. Drill into the floor or wall at the marked locations.
6. Replace the safe in the desired position, with the holes in the safe aligned with those in the floor or wall.
7. Pass each tap screw through a washer, then through the safe and into a masonry anchor.

WARNING: DO NOT DRILL FROM ANY LOCATION INSIDE THE SAFE other than the designated pre-drilled holes. This can damage the fireproof lining and compromise security.

6. Instruccions de funcionament

6.1 Setting Your Personal PIN Code

1. With the safe door open, press the "RESET" button located on the inside of the door (usually near the hinge or battery compartment). The keypad will beep, and the "PASS" light will illuminate.
2. Enter your desired 3-8 digit PIN code.
3. Press the "LOCK" button to confirm. The keypad will beep again, and the "PASS" light will flash, indicating successful programming.
4. Test your new PIN code with the door open before closing it.

6.2 Obrir la caixa forta amb el codi PIN

1. Enter your 3-8 digit PIN code on the digital keypad.
2. Press the "LOCK" button. The "PASS" light will illuminate.

6.3 Using Emergency Keys

In case of forgotten PIN, dead batteries, or electronic malfunction, the emergency keys can be used:

1. Locate the emergency keyhole, usually hidden behind a small cover on the keypad panel. Slide the cover to reveal the keyhole.

3. While holding the key turned, rotate the main knob clockwise to open the safe door.
4. Once open, you can replace the batteries or reset the PIN code.

6.4 Emergency Power via Type-C Port

If the batteries are completely dead and you cannot locate your emergency keys, you can power the keypad externally:

1. Connect a Type-C USB cable from a power bank (not included) to the Type-C port on the keypad panel.
2. The keypad will power on. Enter your PIN code as usual.
3. Once the safe is open, replace the internal batteries immediately.

6.5 Tancament i bloqueig de la caixa forta

1. Tanqueu bé la porta de la caixa forta.
2. Turn the knob counter-clockwise until the bolts fully engage and the door is securely locked.
3. The safe will automatically lock after the door is closed and the knob is turned.
