4. Configuració

Follow these steps for proper installation of your Domus 4 system:

Install the Mattress: Place the Domus 4 mattress on the bed frame. Ensure the mattress is centered and aligned with the bed.

5. Operating the Domus 4 System

The Domus 4 pump unit features an intuitive digital control panel. After initial inflation, the pump will automatically switch to Alternating Mode. To adjust settings, you may need to unlock the panel.

5.1. Adjusting Air Pressure (Patient Weight)

Press the weight adjustment buttons (+/-) on the control panel to set the appropriate air pressure based on the patient's weight. Refer to the weight indicators on the panel for guidance (e.g., 40-250 kg / 85-550 lb).

The Domus 4 offers five therapy modes to suit various patient needs:

Mode alternatiu: For relieving pressure exerted to the patient's body tissue periodically (10-minute cycle). This mode continuously redistributes pressure by inflating and deflating alternating air cells.
Static (CLP) Mode: The air cells are equally inflated with lower pressure constantly to increase the contact area and thus redistribute the pressure through a better immersion and envelopment. This provides a stable surface with continuous low pressure.
Alternating + Seat Inflate: For supporting the patient in an upright position without bottoming out while relieving the pressure exerted to patient's body tissue periodically (10-minute cycle). This mode combines alternating pressure with increased inflation in the sacral area.
Static + Seat Inflate: For supporting the patient in an upright position without bottoming out while the air cells are equally inflated with lower pressure constantly. This mode provides a stable surface with increased inflation in the sacral area.
Max Firm Mode: For caregiver to conduct nursing activities. This mode inflates all air cells to maximum firmness, providing a stable surface for patient care. It will return to the previous setting after 20 minutes.
