This uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is designed to offer guaranteed power and surge protection for wireless networks, computers, and other electronic devices in your home or business. It provides backup battery power during outages and protection against unsafe voltage fluctuations, damaging power surges, and spikes. The APC Back-UPS PRO series is ideal for protecting sensitive electronics, including computers, external hard drives, and routers, ensuring data integrity and continuous connectivity. Featuring Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) and active Power Factor Correction (PFC) compatibility, this unit also includes a user-replaceable battery to extend its service life.
Configuració i instal·lació
Follow these steps to set up your APC UPS unit:
- Desembalatge i inspecció: Carefully remove the UPS from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. Retain the packaging for future transport or storage.
- Connecteu la bateria: Before initial use, the internal battery must be connected. Locate the battery compartment, typically at the bottom or rear of the unit. Follow the instructions on the yellow labels inside the compartment to connect the battery terminals. Ensure a secure connection.
- Col·locació: Place the UPS on a flat, stable surface away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, or moisture. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. The compact design allows for placement on a desk or floor.
- Càrrega inicial: Plug the UPS power cord directly into a grounded wall outlet. Allow the unit to charge for at least 24 hours before connecting any devices to ensure full battery capacity. The LCD display will indicate charging status.

- Data Line Protection: Connect your network cable (Gigabit) and coaxial cables (Cable In/Out) to the respective ports on the rear for surge protection of data lines.

Funcionament
Understanding the features and controls of your UPS is key to maximizing its benefits.
- Encès/apagat: Press the power button on the front panel to turn the UPS on or off. The LCD display will illuminate upon power-on.
- Pantalla LCD: The LCD provides real-time information on the UPS status, including battery charge level, load percentage, vol d'entrada/sortidatage, and estimated runtime. Use the display buttons to navigate through different information screens and adjust settings.

Install the PowerChute software (available for Windows 10, 22H2 Pro, 11 Pro; Mac OS uses native "Energy Saver" settings) to monitor UPS status, configure settings, and ensure graceful system shutdown during extended power outages.

Manteniment
Un manteniment adequat garanteix la longevitat i el rendiment òptim del vostre SAI.
- Substitució de la bateria: The UPS features a user-replaceable battery. The typical lifespan of the sealed lead-acid battery is 3-5 years, depending on usage and environmental conditions. When the battery needs replacement, the UPS will indicate this on the LCD and/or via an alarm. Use only genuine APC replacement battery model APCRBC163 (sold separately) to ensure compatibility and performance. Refer to the battery replacement instructions provided with the replacement battery.
- Neteja: Keep the UPS clean and free of dust. Use a dry cloth to wipe down the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents. Ensure ventilation openings are not obstructed.
- Emmagatzematge: If storing the UPS for an extended period, ensure the battery is fully charged. Store in a cool, dry place with the battery disconnected. Recharge the battery every 3-6 months to prevent deep discharge and prolong its life.
