6. Configuració i instal·lació
Before beginning installation, ensure the power to the circuit is OFF at the service panel (circuit breaker or fuse box).

- Cablejat lateral: Loop #12 AWG copper or copper-clad wire around the side terminal screws and tighten securely.

- Mount the Outlet: Carefully push the wired GFCI outlet back into the electrical box. Secure it with the provided mounting screws.

7.1 Initial Test and Monthly Testing
- After installation and restoring power, the green LED indicator should be ON.
- Premeu el botó PROVA button. You should hear a click, and the red LED indicator should turn ON (or flash briefly, then stay on). This indicates the GFCI has tripped and interrupted power.
- Premeu el botó RESET button. You should hear a click, and the green LED indicator should turn ON. This restores power to the outlet.
- If the GFCI does not trip or reset as described, it may be wired incorrectly or be defective. Do not use the outlet and consult a qualified electrician.
7.2 Self-Test Function and LED Indicators
The GFCI outlet automatically performs a self-test every 40 seconds. During this brief test, the red LED indicator may flash once. This is normal operation.

- LED verd encès: The GFCI is functioning correctly and providing ground fault protection.
- Red LED ON (Solid): The GFCI has reached its end-of-life and can no longer provide ground fault protection. The outlet must be replaced immediately.
