2.1 Precaucions de seguretat

• ADVERTIMENT: Always turn off power to the switch location at the circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning installation. Failure to do so may result in serious injury or death.

2.2 Changing the Paddle (Optional)

The dimmer's paddle can be changed to match existing switches. To change the rocker:

1. Lift the air gap at the base of the paddle.
2. Push in the side tabs on one side, then the other, to release the paddle.
3. Align the new paddle with the dimmer and press the tabs into the slots until it snaps into place.
4. Reinsert the air gap.

The UltraPro Smart Dimmer features QuickFit and SimpleWire technologies for easier installation. QuickFit reduces housing depth by up to 20%, making it suitable for older switch boxes or multi-gang configurations. SimpleWire includes auto-detecting line/load terminals and dual ground ports.

1. Elimina l'interruptor existent: After turning off power, remove the wall plate and mounting screws for the existing switch. Carefully pull the switch from the switch box.
2. Identificar els cables: You should see three types of wires: Line (incoming power), Load (to the light fixture), and Ground (safety wire, usually green or bare copper). A Neutral wire (usually white) is also required for this smart dimmer.
3. Connecteu el cable de terra: Connect the green or bare copper ground wire from the wall box to one of the dual ground ports on the dimmer (green terminal). Do not wrap wires around screws; use the screw-down clamp.

2.4 Z-Wave Pairing (Inclusion)

After installation, reapply power at the fuse box or circuit breaker. Follow your Z-Wave certified gateway's instructions to prepare your controller for pairing (inclusion mode).

1. Once your hub is ready to add the dimmer, press the top or bottom of the rocker paddle on the smart device to include it into the network.
2. If your hub does not immediately enroll the dimmer, wait a few seconds and press the paddle up again.
3. Some hubs offer an S2 security option. If prompted, enter the 5-digit S2 security number (DSK) found next to the QR code on the back of the packaging or the dimmer housing. The DSK for this model is 05250.

3.1 Control manual

The dimmer can be operated manually by pressing the top or bottom of the rocker paddle to turn the connected lights on or off. Hold the paddle to adjust dimming levels.

3.2 Voice Control and Remote Access

When connected through a compatible Z-Wave hub, the dimmer supports voice control via Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. You can also control and schedule your lighting from anywhere using a smartphone, tablet, or PC.

3.3 Custom Scenes and Scheduling

Program groups of hardwired fixtures for specific events or times through your Z-Wave hub to create custom lighting scenes.

3.4 Full-Range Dimming

The dimmer provides full-range dimming capabilities and is compatible with dimmable LED, CFL, and incandescent bulbs.

3.5 LED Indicator Customization

The dimmer features a customizable LED indicator, which can be configured in four ways:

• Per defecte: LED is ON when the connected fixture is OFF (guide light in dark rooms).
• Carrega activada: LED is ON when the connected fixture is ON (indicates power supplied).
• Sempre apagat: LED remains OFF at all times.
• Sempre activat: LED remains ON at all times.

To cycle through these options, quickly press the UP paddle three times and the DOWN paddle once.

4.1 Light Bulb Changes

To safely change light bulbs, use the air gap switch located at the base of the dimmer paddle. This disables power to the fixture. The air gap switch is not intended for regular use as a power switch.
