Configuració i primer ús

1. Desembalar: Traieu amb cura tots els components de l'embalatge. Conserveu l'embalatge per a futurs emmagatzematges o transports.
2. Neteja: Before first use, wash the carafe, carafe lid, and removable filter basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3. Cicle de neteja inicial:
   • Ompliu el dipòsit d'aigua amb aigua fresca i freda fins a la marca de 5 tasses.
   • Place an empty filter basket into the brew basket holder. Do not add coffee grounds.
   • Col·loqueu la garrafa buida amb la tapa sobre el plat escalfador.

   • Press the ON/OFF switch to start a brewing cycle. Allow the cycle to complete.
   • Discard the water from the carafe.
   This process cleans the internal components and prepares the coffee maker for brewing.

Instruccions de funcionament

Elaboració de cafè

1. Omplir el dipòsit d'aigua: Open the top lid and fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water using the carafe. Refer to the ounce markings on the carafe for accurate measurement. Do not exceed the 5-cup (25 oz) maximum fill line.
2. Insereix un filtre: Place a 4-6 cup basket-style paper filter (not included) into the Lift & Clean Filter Basket. Alternatively, if a reusable filter is provided, place it in the basket.
3. Afegeix el marc de cafè: Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. A general guideline is one level tablespoon of ground coffee per cup (5 oz) of water, but adjust to your personal taste.
4. Posició de la garrafa: Place the carafe with its lid securely on the warming plate. Ensure the carafe is properly seated to activate the Grab-a-Cup Auto Pause feature.
5. Comença a fer cervesa: Plug the coffee maker into a standard electrical outlet. Press the ON/OFF switch. The indicator light will illuminate, signifying that the brewing cycle has begun.
6. Pausa automàtica Grab-a-Cup: If you wish to pour a cup before the brewing cycle is complete, you can temporarily remove the carafe. The brewing will pause. Return the carafe to the warming plate within 30 seconds to resume brewing and prevent overflow.
7. Finalització: Once the brewing cycle is complete, the coffee maker will automatically switch to a "keep warm" mode. The ON/OFF switch light will remain illuminated until manually turned off.
8. Servir: Carefully remove the carafe from the warming plate and pour your coffee.

Neteja diària

• Desendolla sempre la cafetera i deixa que es refredi completament abans de netejar-la.
• Remove the brew basket, filter, carafe, and carafe lid.
• Wash these removable parts in a solution of hot water and mild liquid soap. Rinse thoroughly. The Lift & Clean Filter Basket is dish-washer safe for easy cleanup.
• Netegeu les superfícies exteriors de la cafetera amb un drap suau i sec.amp tela. No utilitzeu netejadors abrasius ni fregalls.

Decalcification (Monthly or as needed)

Mineral deposits (calcium) from water can build up in your coffee maker and affect its performance. Decalcify your coffee maker regularly, especially if you have hard water.

1. Pour one cup of plain white vinegar into the water reservoir.
2. Add two cups of cold water to the reservoir.
3. Place an empty filter basket (without a paper filter or coffee) into the brew basket holder.

6. Allow half of the vinegar-water solution to brew through, then turn off the coffee maker and let it soak for 20 minutes.

8. Discard the vinegar-water solution from the carafe.
9. Run two full cycles of fresh, cold water through the coffee maker to rinse thoroughly.
