1. Introducció

The ZTE MF79N is an unlocked Wi-Fi USB modem designed to provide portable internet access. It functions as a low-cost travel Wi-Fi hotspot, allowing up to 10 devices to connect simultaneously. This device offers high-speed 4G connectivity, making it suitable for various uses including travel, work, and home entertainment. Its compact and lightweight design ensures easy portability.

3. Guia de configuració

3.1. Inserció de la targeta SIM

The ZTE MF79N is unlocked to all networks. To begin, you will need an activated data SIM card. Locate the SIM card slot on the device, typically covered by a small flap. Use the provided SIM ejector tool if necessary to open the tray or slot. Insert your activated data SIM card into the designated slot, ensuring correct orientation. Close the flap or reinsert the tray securely.

3.2. Encendre el dispositiu

El dispositiu es pot alimentar de diverses maneres:

• Directly via USB: Plug the ZTE MF79N into a USB port on a computer or laptop. The device will draw power directly from the USB port.
• Via USB Power Adapter: Connect the device to a standard USB power adapter (not included) and plug it into an electrical outlet.
• Via Car USB Port: For on-the-go connectivity, plug the device into a USB port available in your vehicle.

3.3. Configuració Inicial

Upon first connection, the device may prompt for driver installation if connected to a computer. Once powered, the device will attempt to connect to the mobile network. You can access the device's web management interface by connecting to its Wi-Fi network (SSID and password are usually found on a sticker on the device) and navigating to the default IP address (e.g., 192.168.0.1) in your web browser. This interface allows for advanced settings, including APN configuration if required by your SIM card provider.

4.1. Connecting Devices to the Wi-Fi Hotspot

Once the ZTE MF79N is powered on and connected to the mobile network, it will broadcast a Wi-Fi signal. You can connect up to 10 devices simultaneously. On your smartphone, tablet, or laptop, search for available Wi-Fi networks. Select the network name (SSID) corresponding to your ZTE MF79N and enter the Wi-Fi password. Both the SSID and password are typically printed on a label on the device itself.

4.2. Comprensió dels indicadors LED

The device features LED indicators that provide information about its status:

5.1. Actualitzacions de programari

The ZTE MF79N is compliant with the PSTI Act, ensuring that it will continue to receive security and software updates from the purchase date until April 2026. • Reinicieu el dispositiu: Disconnect and reconnect the device from its power source.

6.2. Els dispositius no es poden connectar a la Wi-Fi

• Wi-Fi activat: Ensure the Wi-Fi indicator on the device is active.
• Contrasenya correcta: Double-check that you are entering the correct Wi-Fi password (WPA key) as printed on the device.

6.3. Slow Connection Speed
