Please read this manual carefully before operating your new Comfort-aire PD-121D Portable Air Conditioner. Keep this manual for future reference. Failure to follow these instructions may result in property damage, injury, or death.

Configuració

Before setting up your portable air conditioner, ensure all packaging materials are removed and inspect the unit for any damage.

Desembalatge i identificació de components

Carefully remove the unit from its packaging. The following components should be included:

• Comfort-aire PD-121D Portable Air Conditioner Unit

• Window Sealing Kit (Window Slider Kit, Adapter for Exhaust Hose, Adapter for Window Kit)
• Control remot
• Drain Hose (for continuous drainage)

Installation of Exhaust Hose and Window Kit

1. Connecteu la mànega d'escapament a la unitat: Screw the exhaust hose adapter onto the exhaust outlet at the back of the air conditioner unit. Ensure it is securely fastened.
2. Assemble Window Sealing Kit: Adjust the window slider kit to fit your window opening. Secure the two pieces together if they are adjustable.
3. Attach Exhaust Hose to Window Kit: Connect the other end of the exhaust hose (with its adapter) to the opening in the window sealing kit.
4. Instal·lació del kit de finestres: Place the assembled window kit into the window opening and close the window securely against it to seal the opening.
5. Unitat de posició: Place the portable air conditioner unit near the window, ensuring the exhaust hose is extended and not kinked or bent sharply. The hose should be as short and straight as possible for optimal performance.

Consideracions de col·locació

• Place the unit on a flat, stable floor.
• Assegureu-vos que hi hagi almenys 50 cm d'espai al voltant de la unitat per a un flux d'aire adequat.

The control panel is located on the top of the unit and features various buttons and a digital display for easy operation.

• Botó d'encesa: Encén o apaga la unitat.

• Botó de dormir: Activates Sleep mode for quiet, energy-efficient operation.
• Visualització: Mostra la temperatura actual, la configuració del temporitzador i els codis d'error.

Funcions de control remot

• Point the remote control directly at the receiver window on the unit.

Modes de funcionament

• Mode fresc:

  Press the Mode button until "Cool" is indicated on the display. Use the Temperature Up/Down buttons to set your desired temperature (typically between 62°F - 86°F / 17°C - 30°C). The unit will cool the room to the set temperature.

• Mode de ventilador:

  Press the Mode button until "Fan" is indicated. In this mode, the unit circulates air without cooling. Use the Fan Speed button to select Low, Medium, or High fan speed.

• Mode sec (deshumidificació):

  Press the Mode button until "Dry" is indicated. This mode removes excess moisture from the air. The fan speed is automatically set to low and cannot be adjusted. Ensure the continuous drain hose is connected for this mode.

Funció de temporitzador

The timer allows you to set the unit to automatically turn ON or OFF after a specified period (1-24 hours).

• Apagat automàtic: While the unit is running, press the Timer button. Use the Up/Down buttons to set the desired hours until the unit turns off.
• Activació automàtica: While the unit is OFF, press the Timer button. Use the Up/Down buttons to set the desired hours until the unit turns on.

Regular maintenance ensures efficient operation and extends the lifespan of your portable air conditioner.

Neteja del filtre d'aire

El filtre d'aire s'ha de netejar cada dues setmanes o amb més freqüència, depenent de l'ús i la qualitat de l'aire.

1. Desendolleu la unitat de la presa de corrent.
2. Localitza el panell del filtre d'aire, normalment a la part posterior o lateral de la unitat.
3. Traieu el filtre.
4. Renteu el filtre amb aigua tèbia i sabó. Esbandiu-lo bé.
5. Deixeu que el filtre s'assequi completament a l'aire abans de tornar-lo a inserir a la unitat. No utilitzeu assecadora ni calor directa.

Drenatge d'aigua

The unit has an internal water collection tank. When full, the unit will stop operating and display an "FL" (Full) error code. You will need to drain the water manually.

• Drenatge manual:

  Place a shallow pan or tray under the lower drain port at the back of the unit. Remove the drain plug and allow the water to flow out. Replace the plug securely once drained.

• Continuous Drainage (Recommended for Dry Mode):

  Attach the provided drain hose to the continuous drain port (usually located higher up on the back of the unit). Route the hose to a floor drain or a container placed lower than the unit's drain port to allow gravity drainage.

Emmagatzematge

Si emmagatzema la unitat durant un període prolongat:

1. Drain all water from the unit completely.
2. Netegeu el filtre d'aire.
3. Feu funcionar la unitat en mode de ventilador durant unes hores per assecar els components interns.
4. Desendolla el cable d'alimentació i enrotlla'l amb cura.
5. Guardeu la unitat en un lloc fresc i sec, tapat per protegir-la de la pols.
