Connect the spectrophotometer to your computer using the provided USB cable. The device is powered via USB. If your computer lacks a standard USB-A port, a suitable adapter (not included) may be required.

2. Instruccions de funcionament

2.1 Monitor and Display Profiling

The CCSTUDIO allows for precise calibration and profiling of your monitors and displays. This process ensures accurate color representation, which is crucial for consistent visual work.

  1. Prepare Your Display: Ensure your display has been on for at least 30 minutes to stabilize. Clean the screen surface.
  2. Launch ccStudio Software: Open the installed ccStudio application on your computer.
  3. Select Monitor Profiling: Follow the software prompts to select the monitor profiling workflow.
  4. Position the Spectrophotometer:
    • Attach the monitor profiling attachment to the spectrophotometer.
    • Hang the device over your display, ensuring the sensor rests flat against the screen in the designated area (usually the center). The counterweight on the USB cable helps stabilize the device.

  5. Ambient Light Measurement: The device can automatically determine the optimum display luminance for comparing prints to your display by measuring the lighting conditions where prints will be viewed. Follow software prompts to perform this measurement.
  6. Start Profiling: Initiate the profiling process within the software. The CCSTUDIO uses intelligent iterative profiling, an adaptive technology that produces optimized results for maximum color accuracy on each unique display.
  7. Desa Profile: Once complete, save the generated ICC profile. The software will automatically apply this profile to your operating system.

2.2 Projector Profiling

For accurate color projection, the CCSTUDIO can also profile projectors.

  1. Prepare Projector: Set up your projector and projection screen. Ensure the projector has warmed up.
  2. Mount Spectrophotometer: The spectrophotometer has a 1/4"-20 tripod mount on its base. Mount the device onto a tripod and position it to face the projected image squarely.
  3. Launch ccStudio and Select Projector Profiling: Follow the software prompts.
  4. Start Profiling: The software will guide you through displaying a series of colors and measuring them with the spectrophotometer.
  5. Desa Profile: Save the generated profile.

2.3 Printer and Paper Profiling

Achieve consistent and accurate prints by creating custom profiles for your printer and paper combinations.

  1. Print Test Charts: The ccStudio software will generate test charts that you need to print using your printer and the specific paper you wish to profile. Ensure all color management settings in your printer driver are turned OFF during this step.
  2. Allow Prints to Dry: Let the printed test charts dry completely according to the paper manufacturer's recommendations (typically 15-30 minutes).
  3. Measure Test Charts: Use the spectrophotometer to scan the color patches on the printed charts. The software will guide you through this process, often involving sliding the device along rows of patches.
