3. Configuració
3.1. Desembalatge i col·locació
- Carefully remove all packaging materials and protective films from the machine and accessories.
- Place the espresso machine on a flat, stable, and dry surface, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
- Clean all removable parts (water tank, portafilter, filter baskets, drip tray) with warm water and mild detergent, then rinse thoroughly.
3.2. Omplir el dipòsit d'aigua
- Remove the transparent water tank located at the rear of the machine.
- Ompliu el dipòsit amb aigua potable fresca i freda fins a l'indicador de nivell MÀX.
- If desired, insert a compatible water filter (Brita Maxtra+ or Laica Bi-Flux) into the adapter in the water tank.
- Place the filled water tank back into its position, ensuring it is securely seated.

3.3. First Use / Priming the Machine
- Assegureu-vos que el dipòsit d'aigua estigui ple.
- Connecteu el cable d'alimentació a una presa elèctrica amb connexió a terra.
- Engegueu la màquina amb el botó d'engegada. La màquina començarà a escalfar-se.
- Once heated, place a container under the portafilter spout (without coffee).
- Press the single or double espresso button to run water through the system. This primes the pump and flushes any manufacturing residue. Repeat this process 2-3 times.
- Run hot water through the steam wand for a few seconds to prime it as well.
4. Funcionament de la màquina d'espresso
4.1. Mòlta de grans de cafè
- Fill the bean hopper with fresh, roasted coffee beans.
- Select your desired grind size using the grind adjustment dial. A finer grind is typically used for espresso, while a coarser grind is for overpressure baskets.
- Insert the portafilter into the grinding cradle. The grinder will activate automatically when the portafilter is pushed against the activation lever.
- Grind the desired amount of coffee into the filter basket.

4.2. Elaboració d'espresso
- Preescalfar les tasses: Place your espresso cups on the cup warming tray or rinse them with hot water from the hot water function.
- Preparació del portafiltre: Després de moldre, tamp the coffee grounds evenly and firmly into the filter basket. Wipe any excess grounds from the rim of the portafilter.
- Inseriu el portafiltre: Securely insert the portafilter into the brew group.
- Selecciona la cervesa: Press the single or double espresso button. The machine will automatically dispense the programmed volume of espresso. You can also manually stop the flow by pressing the button again.
- Monitor de pressió: Observe the barometer during extraction. The needle should ideally be in the optimal range for a perfect espresso.

4.3. Llet al vapor
- Fill the milk frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy).
- Turn the steam knob to activate the steam wand. Wait for the steam to reach full pressure.

- Submerge the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of the milk. Angle the pitcher to create a swirling motion.
- Steam the milk until it reaches the desired temperature and texture (micro-foam).

- Use the water system cooling function if you plan to brew another espresso immediately after steaming.
4.4. Funció d'aigua calenta
To dispense hot water for tea or Americanos, activate the hot water function (refer to your machine's specific button for this feature). Place a cup under the hot water spout and press the button to dispense.
5. Manteniment
Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ETA Artista Pro espresso machine.
5.1. Neteja diària
- Portafiltres i cistelles de filtre: After each use, remove the spent coffee grounds and rinse the portafilter and filter basket under hot water.
- Vareta de vapor: Immediatament després de bullir la llet al vapor, netegeu la vareta de vapor amb un adhesiu.amp drap. Purgueu el vapor breument per eliminar qualsevol residu intern de llet.

5.2. Neteja setmanal
- Backflushing: Insert the blind filter basket into the portafilter. Add a small amount of espresso machine cleaning detergent (if recommended by the manufacturer). Lock the portafilter into the brew group. Run a brew cycle for 10-15 seconds, then stop. Repeat 3-5 times. Remove the portafilter and rinse thoroughly. Repeat the backflushing process with plain water to rinse.
- Neteja del molinet: The integrated grinder can be easily removed for cleaning. Follow the instructions in the grinder section of your full manual for detailed steps. Use the provided brush to remove coffee grounds.
5.3. Descalcificació
The frequency of descaling depends on your water hardness and usage. It is recommended to descale your machine every 2-3 months or as indicated by the machine (if it has a descaling alert). Use a descaling solution specifically designed for espresso machines and follow the product's instructions carefully. Refer to the full manual for the detailed descaling procedure for your ETA Artista Pro.
