The Nest x Yale Lock is designed for straightforward installation, replacing your existing deadbolt. An installation guide is included in the box with detailed diagrams.

1. Remove your existing deadbolt from the door.
2. Install the new Nest x Yale Lock components (exterior keypad, interior assembly, and deadbolt mechanism) according to the included installation guide. Ensure all cables are properly connected.
3. Insert the 4 AA batteries into the battery compartment of the interior assembly.
4. Plug in the Nest Connect device into a power outlet within close proximity to the lock and your home Wi-Fi router. The Nest Connect facilitates communication between your lock and the Nest service in the cloud, enabling app control and remote features.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions in the Nest app to pair your lock with Nest Connect and complete the initial setup process, including creating passcodes.

The lock features a responsive keypad for convenient keyless entry. To unlock the door, simply enter your unique passcode on the keypad and press the checkmark button. The deadbolt will retract, allowing entry.

To lock the door from the outside, simply tap the Yale logo on the keypad. The deadbolt will automatically extend, securing your door. This feature provides quick and easy locking as you leave.

Guest Access and Schedules

The Nest app allows you to create unique passcodes for family members, friends, or service providers. You can set custom schedules for when these passcodes are active, providing controlled access for specific times or durations.

When you do not wish to be disturbed or want to prevent entry, activate Privacy Mode from the interior side of the lock. This disables the exterior keypad, preventing entry with any passcode until the mode is manually deactivated.

The Nest x Yale Lock works seamlessly with other Nest devices, such as Nest Doorbells and Nest Cams. This integration allows you to see who is at your door before granting them access, enhancing your overall home security system.

Manteniment

Canvi de bateria

The Nest x Yale Lock is powered by 4 AA batteries. When battery levels are low, you will receive notifications via the Nest app and an audible alert from the lock itself. To replace the batteries:

Lock Not Responding

Deadbolt Not Extending/Retracting Fully

• Check for any physical obstructions in the door frame or strike plate that might be impeding the deadbolt.
• Ensure the lock is properly aligned and installed. Minor adjustments to the strike plate or door frame may be required for smooth operation.
