3. Configuració

Before first use, ensure the device is properly set up:

1. Font d'alimentació: The monitor can be powered by either 4 AAA batteries (included) or the provided AC adapter. Insert batteries into the compartment on the back of the device, ensuring correct polarity. Alternatively, plug the AC adapter into the monitor and a wall outlet.

4.2 Aplicació del puny

1. Slide the cuff onto your upper arm so the bottom edge is about 1/2 inch above your elbow.
2. Tighten the cuff until it is snug against your arm, but not too tight. You should be able to insert two fingers comfortably between the cuff and your arm.
3. Align the artery mark on the cuff with your brachial artery (typically on the inside of your arm).

4.3 Prendre una mesura

1. Once the cuff is correctly positioned, relax and press the 'Start' button on the monitor.
2. The cuff will inflate, and the measurement will begin. Remain still and quiet during this process.
3. The monitor will display your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate. It also provides a hypertension risk indicator and detects irregular heartbeats.
4. For more reliable results, especially for clinical accuracy, use the Microlife Averaging Mode (MAM) which takes three measurements in succession and averages them. This mode is recommended by the American Heart Association (AHA).
