Connecting the DL4 MKII

Operating the DL4 MKII

The DL4 MKII retains the intuitive knob and footswitch layout of its predecessor while expanding its sonic capabilities.

• Delay Type Selector: A rotary switch to select from 30 different delay types, including 15 new MkII delays from the HX family, 14 original DL4 delays, and the Echo Platter.
• TIME/SUBDIV: Controls the delay time and subdivision.
• REPETICIONS: Adjusts the number of delay repeats (feedback).
• TWEAK & TWEEZ: These knobs control specific parameters unique to each selected delay model, allowing for fine-tuning of the effect.
• BARCELONA: Adjusts the blend of the dry signal with the wet (effected) signal.
• Footswitches A, B, C: Used for selecting presets, engaging/bypassing effects, and looper control.

Looper Functionality

The DL4 MKII features two looper types:

• 4-Switch Looper: Offers comprehensive control over recording, playback, overdubbing, and undo/redo.
• 1-Switch Looper: A simplified looper for quick capture and playback.

Both looper types provide up to 240 seconds of record time, which can be expanded to several hours using an optional microSD card (not included).

Control MIDI

The DL4 MKII supports MIDI In and Out/Thru connections, allowing for advanced control:

• Receive Program Change (PC) messages to recall any of the 128 available presets.
• Receive Control Change (CC) messages to control parameters remotely.
• Footswitch control of up to six presets directly from the unit.
