Configuració

1. Remove all packaging materials and labels from the coffee maker.
2. Wash the removable water reservoir, K-Cup® pod holder, and ground coffee brew basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.

1. Fill the removable water reservoir with fresh water up to the MAX 50 oz. line.
2. Place a large mug or travel mug (at least 14 oz. capacity) on the drip tray.
3. Close the brew head without inserting a K-Cup® pod or ground coffee.
4. Press the "Brew Regular" button. The coffee maker will dispense hot water.

The Hamilton Beach FlexBrew offers two brewing methods: using K-Cup® pods or ground coffee.

Brewing with K-Cup® Pods

1. Ensure the water reservoir is filled with fresh water (minimum 8 oz. for K-Cup® pods).
2. Lift the brew head handle to open the K-Cup® pod chamber.
3. Insert a K-Cup® pod into the pod holder.
4. Close the brew head handle firmly until it clicks into place. This will puncture the pod.

6. Select your desired cup size (8 oz. or 10 oz. for K-Cup® pods) using the "Cup Size" button.
7. Choose your brew strength: "Brew Reg" for regular or "Brew Bold" for a stronger coffee.
8. The coffee maker will begin brewing. An 8 oz. cup brews in approximately 90 seconds.
9. Once brewing is complete, carefully lift the brew head handle and remove the used K-Cup® pod.

The FlexBrew coffee maker supports both K-Cup® pods and ground coffee for versatile brewing.

2. Lift the brew head handle. Remove the K-Cup® pod holder if it is installed.
3. Insert the ground coffee brew basket into the chamber.
4. Add your desired amount of ground coffee (up to 3 tablespoons) into the brew basket. Do not overfill.
5. Close the brew head handle firmly.

10. Once brewing is complete, carefully lift the brew head handle and remove the used ground coffee brew basket for cleaning.

• After each use, remove and rinse the K-Cup® pod holder or ground coffee brew basket.

Routine Cleaning (Descaling)

All coffee makers should be cleaned at least once a month (once a week for areas with hard water) to remove mineral deposits.

1. Remove the water reservoir and discard any remaining water.
2. Add 1 1/2 cups (355 mL) of plain white vinegar to the reservoir and return it to place.

4. Place a 15 oz. (444 mL) or larger cup or travel mug on the cup rest to catch the vinegar.
5. Press the 10 oz. (296 mL) cup size button. When vinegar starts dispensing, press any cup size button again to stop brewing and allow the vinegar to clean.
6. After 30 minutes, press any cup size button and allow it to finish the brew cycle.
7. Empty the reservoir and fill with cold water. Run 2-3 additional cycles with water only to rinse thoroughly.
8. Unplug the unit. Your coffee maker is now cleaned and ready to brew coffee.

Resolució de problemes

• El cafè no s'infusiona: Ensure the water reservoir has sufficient water (above minimum line). Check that the brew head is fully closed and the K-Cup® pod or ground coffee basket is correctly inserted.
• Cafè fluix: Try selecting the "Brew Bold" option. For ground coffee, ensure you are using enough coffee grounds and that they are not too coarse.
• Coffee grounds in cup: For ground coffee, ensure the brew basket is properly seated and not overfilled. For K-Cup® pods, ensure the foil lid is not damaged before insertion.
• Fuga: Check that the water reservoir is properly seated and not cracked. Ensure the drip tray is correctly positioned.
• Slow brewing: Descale the coffee maker as per the "Routine Cleaning" instructions. Mineral buildup can restrict water flow.
