4. Configuració i instal·lació

The Model 4400A is designed for installation on the supply plenum of your furnace/air handler. Its compact 6.75-inch depth allows for installation in smaller spaces.

• Choose a flat, vertical surface on the supply plenum.
• Ensure adequate clearance for maintenance, including vapor pad replacement.
• Locate near a cold or hot water supply line (hot water recommended for greater humidity output) and a drain.
• Ensure access to a 120V AC power outlet for the humidifier's fan.

4.2 Mounting the Humidifier

4.4 Cablejat elèctric

1. Wire the GFX4 digital humidistat according to the diagram provided in the humidistat's separate manual.
2. Connect the humidifier's power cord to a dedicated 120V AC outlet.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

The GeneralAire Model 4400A operates in conjunction with your furnace fan and the GFX4 digital humidistat.

5.1 GFX4 Digital Humidistat Operation

• Refer to the separate GFX4 Humidistat manual for detailed programming and operation instructions.
• Set your desired humidity level on the GFX4 control. A typical comfortable indoor humidity range is between 35% and 45% relative humidity.
• The humidistat will activate the humidifier when the indoor humidity drops below the set point and the furnace fan is operating.

5.2 Seasonal Operation

• Heating Season: Set the humidistat to your desired humidity level. The humidifier will operate as needed.
• Cooling Season/Off-Season: Turn the humidistat to the "OFF" position or lower the set point significantly to prevent humidification when not desired. It is recommended to turn off the water supply to the humidifier during the off-season.

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your humidifier. Always disconnect power and turn off the water supply before performing any maintenance.

6.1 Vapor Pad Replacement (GA35)

The vapor pad (GA35) should be replaced at least once per heating season, or more frequently in areas with hard water.

1. Turn off power to the humidifier and close the water supply valve.
