Figura 3: superior view of the Novastar TB30, highlighting the default Wi-Fi AP SSID and password for initial connection.

The TB30 supports two Wi-Fi modes:

  • Wi-Fi AP Mode: In this mode, the TB30 acts as an access point. Your control device (computer, phone, tablet) connects directly to the TB30's built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. The default SSID is typically "AP + last 8 digits of the device's serial number", and the default password is "12345678".
  • Wi-Fi STA Mode: In this mode, the TB30 connects to an existing Wi-Fi network (e.g., your router's Wi-Fi hotspot). Both your control device and the TB30 must be connected to the same router's Wi-Fi network.

Refer to the device's on-screen interface or accompanying software for detailed instructions on switching between modes and configuring Wi-Fi settings.

4.2 Content Publishing and Control

Content can be published and managed using dedicated software on a computer, mobile application on a smartphone or tablet, or through cloud-based platforms. These platforms allow for remote content updates, scheduling, and real-time monitoring of your LED display.

4.3 Synchronous and Asynchronous Modes

  • Asynchronous Mode: In this mode, the TB30 plays content from its internal storage or network sources independently.
  • Synchronous Mode: When operating in synchronous mode, the TB30 uses the video source input from its HDMI interface. This is typically used for real-time display of external video feeds.

4.4 Multi-Screen Synchronous Playback

For applications requiring synchronized content across multiple LED screens, the TB30 supports:

  • NTP Time Synchronization: Utilizes Network Time Protocol to synchronize playback across multiple devices connected to the same network.
  • GPS Time Synchronization: For highly precise synchronization, GPS time synchronization is available. This feature requires the installation of a specified 4G module, which is sold separately.

5. Manteniment

  • Neteja: Regularly clean the exterior of the device with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials. Ensure ventilation openings are free from dust and obstructions.
  • Actualitzacions de firmware: Periodically check for firmware updates provided by Novastar. Updates can improve performance, add new features, and enhance security. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for firmware update procedures, typically available through the cloud platform or support weblloc.
  • Condicions ambientals: Operate the device within recommended temperature and humidity ranges to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

6. Solució De Problemes

6.1 Sense poder

  • Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the TB30 and a working power outlet.
  • Verify the power switch on the rear panel is in the ON position.
  • Proveu la presa de corrent amb un altre dispositiu per confirmar que funciona.

6.2 Sense sortida de pantalla

  • Check the connection between the TB30's LED OUT ports and your LED display.
  • Ensure the LED display is powered on and configured correctly to receive input from the TB30.
  • Verify that the TB30 is in the correct operating mode (synchronous/asynchronous) for your content source.

6.3 Problemes de connectivitat de xarxa

  • Connexió per cable: Check the Ethernet cable connection. Ensure your router/switch is functioning correctly.
  • Wi-Fi AP Mode: Confirm your control device is connected to the TB30's Wi-Fi hotspot using the correct SSID and password.
  • Wi-Fi STA Mode: Ensure the TB30 is connected to your router's Wi-Fi network and that both the TB30 and your control device are on the same network. Verify Wi-Fi password and network settings.

6.4 Content Playback Problems

  • Ensure the content format is supported by the TB30.
  • Check if the content has been successfully published and scheduled for playback.
  • Verify available storage space on the device.
